    MGS Fanpage:

METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES features a non-linear, open world environment that allows players to choose how to approach each mission. Players can use a variety of tactics, from a run and gun action style to true stealth-ops, to accomplish any one single mission, true to the METAL GEAR SOLID series. With freedom to choose multiple paths, by foot or by vehicle, to dynamic enemy engagement, players are sure to find a deep gameplay experience across a central story mode as well as numerous side-ops missions.

Also, METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES offers a number of additional achievements and unlockable platform-exclusive content for considerable replay value in the true cinematic style and ground-breaking graphics quality that has become the hallmark of Kojima Productions.

Similar to a television series, GROUND ZEROES serves as the first act that will bridge the gap between METAL GEAR SOLID PEACEWALKER, serving as the prologue to the highly anticipated METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN, the second part of the METAL GEAR SOLID V Experience.

KONAMI expresses its confidence that METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES represents an overall excellent experience with its expansive gameplay, replay value, as well as its compelling and deep storyline.

And to all of you who don't know, the rumors are that the Ground Zeroes will take you less than 2h to accomplish. If you ask me that's kinda expensive 2 hours.

Here in poland it will cost 119,90 zł - thats over 40$ (!!) and US have it for 20$ - LOL

Hah, started listening to the soundtracks from the old games yesterday, really wanna go back and play them again (especially MGS2, it's been so long). Should probably just wait out for Ground Zeroes tho, last time I tried MGS2 (on the Vita) the control scheme felt way more clumsy than I remembered, hopefully Ground Zeroes is following the line that MGS4 is on and will feel more...less awful

Also is that news about Sutherland? I thought it had been confirmed that he was in and Hayter was out as Snake

    Ahah, forget about this game

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain might not come out until December 2015

Sorry, didn't follow the news as much... both because of time and because of disinterest, i mean i'm starting to be very annoyed about this long-before-due announcements, it is totally pointless to wait, as demonstrated just above. I was still at the point that the Kiefer thing could have been a joke from Kojima.

I'm not just feeling this at all. Don't get me wrong, I'm wetting myself for a proper new MGS. But everything I've heard about this so far indicates that it is pretty much just a demo, a very small taste. While I wouldn't mind that if the main game were coming out a little later, that doesn't seem to be the case. It's just going to piss me off immersing myself into that world for a couple of hours then having to wait who knows how long for the real thing. Especially when...

Kojima has alluded to [The Phantom Pain] possibly being "too big to clear", adding that the game is "200 [times larger] than Ground Zeroes

I think I'll just wait until it's all out, because it does seem like that's the way that it's meant to be played. But if everyone did that, poor sales would probably lead to the full game getting gimped. It just seems really stupid to do this, I don't know why they don't just finish the game rather than pull the 'we need to please the desperate fans' thing.

As we all know, even right up to to the end of any development you constantly refine things — so what about gameplay improvements, etc they make to the final game? Will Ground Zeroes get that in a patch? This is particularly significant with MGS because the series is notorious for being very unpolished until very late into development.

Ugh, this and the Kiefer thing just seem unnecessarily daft. Why is this beloved franchise getting such weird treatment? I know that MGS has usually had prologues (Ground Zeroes is basically MGS5's equivalent of MGS2's Tanker Incident, MGS3's Virtuous Mission, or MGS4's Middle East segment), but splitting it into a separate release 1–2 years beforehand? Mm...

exactly my point of view Thrik !

and, don't get me wrong i LOVE MGS, but i hope this wont sell good, cause if it does all publishers will be fucking spliting the games in to parts, so we will get DLC's AND fucking episode's

Follow your gut and fuck the media. If you're excited about this, get it... We live in times where it's too easy to get influenced by other peoples opinions. Sometimes we have to stick to our own.

I always admired MGS, but never owned a PS, when I tried MGS1 on PC, after having played Splinter Cell, I found it immensely archaic and unplayable.

So I've been excited to jump on the bandwagon since the first material, especially after the gameplay demo that suggests immensely open levels where to prove yourself (in a formula that goes back to my 12 year old dreams) and controls up to the modern times (even in the MGS4 demos to change weapon you had to open up a menu – if I remember correctly).

I'm baffled by all the promotion strategy after the proper reveal. I'll go on a limb and say that Kojima is behaving like an attention whore, putting out pointless statements whenever the attention is on some game that is actually coming out, while his is due in two years :-|

And about the size… a Project IGI single map was like 100 times bigger than the camp of Ground Zeroes.
