i wanted to post about it couple days ago, but as for me Ground Zeroes is just that camp at night with sandbox like feel, i hope it's more than that cause the 30$ only for assaulting one camp is a lil bit too much, don't you think ?

Well, Shadow Moses was just one little camp. If it is one location, hopefully there's be lots of indoor/underground stuff you must take your time with, which I expect from an MGS game.

i'm curious about which system and digital vs. boxed editions people are interested in most. I definitely want for PS4.

Exactly, I'm not worried at all.

Also, if you followed MGS games release history, Kojima only shows the first 2 hours of the game to the press before they release the game, happened with every MGS released thus far. I know this one is special due to be only a "tutorial" for the main game, which will be open world but I still believe it will be a fairly large and worthwhile experience, c'mon guys it's Kojima, if he fucks up, it will be a first in 30 years in the industry.

I'm not saying that he will fuck it up, but 30$ sounds a lil bit too much. For me the Ground Zeroes is just like Tanker incident in MGS2 - prologe / tutorial, and as much as i love that part in MGS 2, that was short for 30$ - if i may compare this to each other

Maybe all those MGS games are good to play, but i fucking hate those silly stories and scenarios...

I never played those game (i may have tried the one one PS1 and the one and PS2), but once i got a conversation with a friend who is also a fanboy... And god, he tried to explain me the story and why he found that game awesome : that was what i hate in games, and mostly in nippon games.

For this last one, engine, design and tech looks awesome. Maybe gameplay is awesome too, but man that story, i can't get in... And i find myself horrible, because every body who loves MGS loves it for its stories.

I will tell you that during last MGS4 cut scene (about 29 mins) when the story of all majors MGSes came to conclusion, i was fucking crying like a baby, that is how STRONG STORY in MGS is !

Yeah man, MGS has a story that you either love or hate. It's unashamedly ridiculous, but then it's heavily inspired by anime and Japanese weirdness so it's no surprise really. The characters have a lot of depth, which is what really does it for people I think. I didn't cry at the MGS4 ending, but it was pretty amazing seeing a story I'd been into since I was like 12 being wrapped up. I was as sad to see the old villains die as much as anyone else!

I am hoping that Ground Zeroes will be longer than the tanker incident, considering the price. I'll be genuinely surprised if it isn't.

I think it'll come down to which has the technical edge for me. It's likely to be the PS4 for numerous reasons, but we'll see.

for me is BOX - this is the only way, and PS4 of course

The last bit of MGS4 is amazing, but I can see why some people are turned down by the story. It's the same reason I can't get into a lot of anime cos it's such unrealistic bullshit. But for some reason in MGS it clicks and I can take whatever is thrown at me

I doubt any other game will do the same as MGS did for me, it's not just about the games... Part of the charm is growing up with them and understanding them more after a replay when you get older, it's the nostalgia man And I sorta like the pseudo-psychology human nature stuff in there, makes you think a bit.

Unfortunately I'm "grown-up" now (lol really?) and I doubt I'll get that nostalgia-impact again. I don't think there's a way to rationalize that sort of stuff... Those feelz man! It's like the conclusion to your childhood or something...

Yeah same, probably the only time in my life that I wept like a bitch playing a video game.
