Never got around to play the first, but it's definitely on my backlog, always loved Castlevania games since the NES days.
Also, it's been made in spain, which is good cos you're supporting another country's games industry, and Kojima was involved!

Aye...the more open world -esque nature of LoS2 looks interesting. And was that Patrick Stewart's voice I heard? Has he done voicework for the franchise before? I'm not a follower of Castlevania games at all but LoS2 looks pretty sweet.
That is very impressive. Makes me wanne play Castlevania for the first time
I tried to like LoS but nothing clicked for me. The God of War-like formula (arena-based combat + spinny long-range weapons + enemies that take 20 hits to weaken + long tedious QTE executions) does little for me, the level design was a bit frustrating if you tried to look for secrets (lots of backtracking to try the other path after one way drops etc.), story didn't draw me in at all and main characters who seem to think it's cool to not draw any emotions and speak in monotonous voices, etc. The game seemed polished and was decent, but it just never got to me. I'll skip that one.
