Elders scrolls opening, as envisioned by mapcore.

    Fade from black.

You're in the wilderness. Surrounded by high grass and trees.

White text fades in at the center of the screen, it reads:

Pick a direction and fuck off.

you click a button and it fades out.

    LMAO Frie!

You know what'd really make an MMO for me, or any RPG for that matter? Something that fuses the experience of Skyrim with Minecraft. I know that Minecraft has been introducing its own RPG-like mechanics and such, but the aesthetic of the game is what kills it for me. Imagine if you could be playing a game like Skyrim, but when you're out in the forests you can actually build yourself a proper shack with beautiful lighting and everything. As you progress through the game, you slowly build up an epic stronghold that's always your safe place to go back to. Until it gets destroyed by some big event and then you cry.

The thing is, games like Fable and Skyrim always tantalisingly tease what this kind of thing could be like by giving you pre-fab houses that you can slightly customise, but if they could get the technology to the point where it's feasible to truly craft the shit out of a game without compromising the graphics to laughable proportions I'd love it. Make your own cave in the mountains of Skyrim!

It looks like it has been graphically heavily err.. koreanified. I guess this is a good hint of the customers they are targeting. Maybe to slowly implant the elder scrolls license where it's not a complete plebiscite. And then BAM another occidental rpg like skyrim, the western market being already conquered for pc and console alike, see if it sells a bit better in asia.

You should play Rust. One of the best crafting systems ever made. The system just needs to be added to other games now.

I think you can build cities and have battles in Age of Conan? Not too sure though.

Which reminds me, Funcom has just been raided by the police and charged with economic fraud.
