Half-Life 2 Mod: Borg Wars

Well what I know:

As long as it is free, meaning i am not getting paid or anyone else on the team for creating this mod, there should be no problem.

If I were to sell this mod for lets say $5 then i would be in lots of trouble because that money would not be going to Paramount / Star Trek.

I was talking to Timmay from the Jedi: Timeline mod. They are allowed to make that mod as long as they dont use Star Wars in the title...
