heh, here we go again I really thought that black ops 2 would be set somewhere between the 60's and 90's.

It looks better then a generic MW4 at least...

I'm actually pleasantly surprised. Visually it's really starting to look rough tho, but at least they're mixing things up a bit.

One thing tho, I thought there was some contract clause against anybody but Infinity Ward developing COD games taking place in the future, at least I vaguely remember reading something about this once IW cracked all the lawsuits started spewing out. Maybe it was just Modern Warfare titles that IW were the sole keeper of.

    Anyhoo...

Generic, raspy voice man making a generic speech that makes you think he's talking about something important but is really chatting absolute bollocks.

Also, why were there clips of Red Dead Redemption in there? Did they edit the film wrong???

It's cool to hate on CoD guys, come on, join me!

    PogoP... I wish I could. But I just can't.

A part of me desires to do nothing else but to heckle CoD and it's makers... but another part of me is deeply saddened by the fact that CoD4 was the last great CoD game. The core mechanics of CoD Multiplayer, when treated with care, are incredibly satisfying and fun TBH.

It's so cool to hate on COD, that it's somehow even cooler and underground again to hate hating on COD, but then, for the real hip connoisseur artisan master of the craft, that is just too easy and sellout. So, basically, it's so lame, that it's almost good again, but then not. Either way, it is weird.

Yeah, I was going to make that point.. Perhaps CoD is going to go full circle and become likeable again?!

OMFG i LOLed sooo hard hahhaa

as for graphics thats true, it is rought and old, but think about how old the engine is, IMO they did outstanding job and it still looks very good (Woods for instance looks Fucking A)

i hate COD for what it become, but i really enjoyed Black Ops (SP) and zombie play (MP) and this one is looking promising, and if you watched the interview (if not do it) they are talking about non linear gampley type, sounds very interesting

Treyarch really is doing it right

Am I the only one who felt a REALLY awkard mix of Battlefield and DeusEx:HR vibe? Both in the looks and music.

CoD franchise still manages to surprise me, it's like a games salad now, lol.

Nah, It's not dude, it can be a good thing if well implemented, It's just that I'm slowlly getting a bit bored of shooters overall, that's all.

The whole "drones" thing seems pretty cool tho! The amount of stuff being thrown into that official trailer is really crazy, in a good way! Animation is spot on, although the assets are really low res, you can see they're still aiming at 60FPS, they get my biggest respeks for that alone!

I'm no CoD hater and still consider the first two Modern Warfare among the best games of this generation, but this just doesn't appeal to me at all and is so far detached from the gritty and believable tone the earlier games had (particularly pre-MW) it looks like a different IP altogether.

My main issues are that the subject matter in the trailer looks extremely derivative, like an art director went through Metal Gear Solid, Deus Ex, Crysis, and various other sci-fi classics and mashed them all together — and then a writer went and threw a generic 'machines were our downfall' type storyline into the mix. And as mentioned above the graphics are looking really rough, something made worse by the fact that the stuff in the trailer evokes memories of other games which accomplished the same kind of visual feats much more impressively.

I don't think I'll even bother to buy this one. I'm still going to pick up MW3 and Blops 1 as they seemed more like what I'd enjoy, but this... it just feels like the CoD series jumping the shark in a desperate attempt to remain relevant after MW3's downward turn of sales.

Thrik, please don't group MW1 and MW2 together. Just don't.

I would add Crysis 2 colors, and ghost recon AW too.

A huge mix. Not sure if it's really the best.
