Actually, I have : http://zyndustries.thehunter.com/ , and that reminds me I havn't played it in a while. It's quite relaxing and slow paced, until you are close to your prey. I bought the Wayfarer bundle to see more of the game and all of a sudden I can hunt everything! Even got a few Black Bears, which are so god damn easily startled. Plus they can attack you, same with Moose.

I have also bought more equipment, and one thing lead to another and now I have bought almost all the gear there is ... oh god what am I doing

    Have some sunrise hunting:

The graphics actually look pretty decent, but it seems such a pointless game!

It'd be nice if you could get the Deer meat and have your printer print out some 3D meat for you to feed your family with.

I just spent 2 hours on the bloody thing for 1 dear, however I enjoyed it! It looks and sounds beautiful, and can be quite exhilarating when you finally get the chance for a shot.

I have to say too many game marketers often fixate on BIGGER LOUDER INTENSERER FASTERER EXPLOSION-Y-ER and etc. since generally they are creatively and intellectually bankrupt, and just plain lazy so they have no idea how to smartly market product, let alone offer any useful advice to game developers on how to make their games better. (omg shocking insight ) So for shooter games, the marketing side often says "................................well what about Call of Duty? Can't we just do what they did but cheaper?"

My point: not all shooter oriented games need to be so fucking intenserer and explosion-y-er...sometimes a slow pace where you have to be patient and think and plan rather than simply react to the shooting gallery before you is a nice alternative.

Sorry, just ranting... [Blocked Image: https://migrationtest.mapcore.org/public/style_emoticons/default/mapcore_smilies/emot_shakehead.gif]

How dare you say such a thing about a fine British pastime sophisticated gentlemen going back generations have enjoyed!

I find it funny that anyone on these forums would be looking for "a point" in gaming. The point is to entertain you. There is no other point to any other game out there.

Intellectual stimulation. For real. TV = sit back in my chair and go braindead. Gaming = sit forward in my chair and use my brain to figure something out...while being entertained.

Is there any form of entertainment that's not intellectual stimulation? Surely anything that isn't intellectually stimulating can only be boring, therefore not entertainment?

Are we saying the same thing with different words?

Watching porn is a good form of entertainment that isn't intellectually stimulating.

I should link you to my intellectual porn videos. I have learnt a lot from various plumbers and electricians in said videos, about various ways in which women entice handy men to have sex with them when they're just trying to do their jobs. It's an awful thing that not a lot of people know about. Poor guys.

Going from a hunting-game to deep discussion about pornography ... yep, everything's in order.
