I was really hoping to see a Black & White 3 eventually. Lionhead could make it themselves, but I do think Molyneux's vision and desire to push the boundaries of what's possible — even if it means landing himself in hot shit by not living up to his dreams — was a key ingredient in the magic of that series and Fable (the first two at least). And I can never dislike a man for trying to make something amazing.
If the new Fable game is an example of what Lionhead will be producing without Molyneux's involvement then, well... ![]()
Apparently he will be pursuing independent projects, but as we've seen with Will Wright that can mean completely dropping off the face of the gaming world. If however he decides to roll with a new studio to avoid what I assume is pressure by Microsoft to keep working on Fable that's something I'm cool with.
I don't like it when visionaries feel trapped working on the same franchise year after year, because you always wonder what incredible new idea they could have come up with otherwise (looking at you UbiSoft).
