Is this Doom 4?

    When I'm making a prototype of a new level I'm using old stuff if I can and I think there's nothing wrong with reusable content. TBH it's the same guys, same technology - it can be similiar and - for me - it's very good.

    BTW it looks more like new Duke Nukem game.

    What are those flying things in the air though? As far as I'm aware there were no similar enemies in Rage. They look more like the flying skull enemies from Doom... Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

    I asked a friend from Id earlier and he accidentally MAY have made a slip up and MAYBE told me that it was Doom. Maybe.

    You do realise this is leaked screenshots tho, right? From a game far away to look decent to even be announced, let alone to have media released to the public. Just sayin.

    I was kinda expecting this, firing 30+ people at once, one of them was bound to try a bit of payback!

    This is bad news tho, it may further pull down id's reputation more than it already is whit the bad release of Rage. (Although It's a fine game in my opinion, had it's flaws but what matters is I had loads of fun with it)

    The screenshots look great out of context, they just don't look Doom-esque. Very, very little sci-fi on display there, it looks like gritty realistic apocalypse.

    I'm pretty sure I actually heard a rumor that Doom 4 was on earth a long, long time ago. After all, Doom 3 was a reworking of Doom 1, and Doom 2 was "Hell on Earth". It's foreshadowed kinda like how the PS2 GTAs were the three cities from GTA1.

    I can't say I have any desire whatsoever to see another Doom game set in the same kind of environment as Doom 3 and Quake 4, but then the whole city thing has also been done to death by other games. Is there really a place left for Doom in the modern world?

    Honestly when I pictured a modern doom on earth in my head when I first heard the doom 4 rumors, it was out in the boonies, with redneck NPCs being convenient allies, sources of supplies, and body horror. Thinking now though I imagine an earth in Doom 3's vision of the universe specifically to be SUPER cyberpunk. Megacorps and super skyscrapers and domed cities and shit. Dystopian type stuff. I mean, it is future enough for them to build fucking teleports to hell, and corporations are uncontrolled and power hungry enough to build fucking teleports to hell, after all.

    Looks like it could be Doom 4, it would be cool to play a Doom game on Earth finally... I was always disappointed that despite the title of the original sequel Doom 2: Hell On Earth it was just the first game again with new weapons and enemies
