So far I would give it a high 80, best writing in any game I have ever played. However nearly all of the gameplay mechanics are pretty damn unpolished, the animations are honestly quite terrible at times (so much sliding/snapping) and atleast for the first 4-5 hours the level design was uninspired (although it definately has picked up in the last 4-5 hours I have played).

I would agree about the first few gameplay hours, but man it gets way better across the board.

GT review is up, they took their precious time. Watch it at your own risk, although it's relatively pretty spoiler free since it stay away from mentioning anything about the story.
If any of you are still on the fence about this game, for what it's worth, know it's one of the finest games I have ever played!

Finished it last night. Biggest surprise is how it's one of the best stealth games out there. Forgiving but still a challenge trying to stay hidden from everyone and when the inevitable happens and shit breaks loose it just enters into a more interesting phase of cat and mouse and re positioning and using all your tools available that are also fairly scarce resources. Lots of little decisions you gotta make during combat feels really good.
Probably one of the best games of our time but Red Faction: Guerrilla is still game of the generation.

One of the best stealth games? Really? Did you guys even play the same game. Its the same bad stealth that was in uncharted, literally one for one the same.
Agreed on RFG though, that game was amazing.

It's one of the most enjoyable. The combat doesn't just have two dimensions with AI being either alerted/unaltered and you actually have to work for your silent take downs unlike something like DX:HR where there's like a 10 meter radius around each guy and if you're within that press CTRL and you can take a guy down (which is limited but not really). Also the fact that everything is resource based just automatically makes your actions meaningful. Areas with clickers forces you to use all the games mechanics to get through which Uncharted has nothing like, there's a few valid comparisons maybe with human enemies but the stealth still goes beyond just taking down the first couple guys in a fight, since you can lose guys during an encounter that sets them back into a semi-alert state. Also the encounter spaces are really quite open and designed to support a bunch of different options, some worse than others, and all not relating necessarily to a strict stealth approach. That's probably why the game works so well, you can fail and still make up for things and get into interesting, tense situations. Fucking up in most stealth games usually just sucks.
I played on Hard so some of this is probably amplified a bit during my playthrough.

Absolutely agree with this, played on hard and I'm glad I did, got my bang for my buck and my god was the stealth fun. There's all these little subtleties that I've never seen in a game before, one that I managed to spot was that the enemies completely change their behavior once they know you're in the vicinity, and they wont forget about it after 20 seconds like other games, also if they know you have a gun they will also change the way they behave a lot. If they have a weapon themselves them will take cover and hide in there until you poke your head out, if they don't (melee enemies) they will try and flank you / sneak you.
That my friends, is awesomeness!

This is pretty cool, got to admit I didn't stick around long enough in each of the areas to notice this was a 'thing' on my playthrough:

Ellen Page is pretty pissed off for Ellie's resemblance with her:

Ellen Page says Last Of Us' Ellie "Ripped off my likeness""I guess I should be flattered that they ripped off my likeness", she says, "but I am actually acting in a video game called Beyond Two Souls, so it was not appreciated."
