If he only has a 360 then the name of the thread should be "The best games for the Xbox360" or something along those lines.

My favorite games are either PC or PS3. Does he have a PC? He could always connect a XBox controller on it.

Anyhow... my favourit Xbox game (although I didn't play many) was Alan Wake.

gay thing with the 360, i would have suggested stalker because it's a game for badasses exclusively.

if he doesn't have much experience playing games from before, then maybe he should start with something like L.A Noire. there are some things in games we take for granted (navigating in 3d space, aiming) that can be pretty difficult if you're new to games. would like to recommend portal 2, but he would probably get stuck and hate it (if he is new to games).

skyrim would probably work. if he gets stuck he could just do something else. besides, playing an elder scrolls game for the first time is amazing.

Yeah, I imagine he isn’t going to want to play stuff like Ninja Gaiden. Adding Ikaruga and DoDonPachi: Resurrection to what people have said.
