I've occasionally lurked on this forum to look at all the sweet art but today I decided to do something. So as a means of introduction here's my portfolio:

nothing particularily new about it at the moment but hopefully more to come!

Be most welcome! Loved bioshock man, great work on that!

You got a really solid portfolio, you still at 2k?

Oh hai! I remember watching the Robot Hunters Lodge come together over at Polycount. Love all the movement in that video.

Hey Daniel, nice portfolio you've got some really nice work, my only complaint is that your website has a lot of wasted space

    Best of luck finding work

*edit* I've been viewing your website abit more and I dislike that clicking the images take you to flickr instead of opening up a high res shot

Ah I've seen that Robot hunting room on PC, it's a really cool little environment.

The only thing I can think of is that I wish a few of the screenshots of props and stuff could be a little larger.

    Otherwise, great stuff

as for folio, i just hate that after clicking on a thumb i'm getting bigger version, but in order to see another i need to go back and click on another, make a NEXT button or just use fancybox instead !

I'd lose the ads. I had one of a fat guy jiggling his belly at the bottom of one page, kind of spoils your awesome work above.

Ads? It's a free wordpress account but I don't see any ads? even if I go to another computer to view it. If there are ads under some conditions I'd like to figure out why.

I am considering ways to make it so that the images load into some kind of popup or have back buttons. Unfortunately It's not as simple as installing a plugin as that would require me to move the content to a new server.

WordPress.com shows ads in some circumstances, see here: http://en.wordpress.com/about-these-ads/

As it's WordPress, if you gallery module doesn't let you display them as full-width images you should at least be able to make a post and instead of inserting a gallery, open up the image manager and manually insert each image one after the other (like you would when posting on MapCore). Should work just fine, and people can click to go to the big versions. I agree that clicking lots of thumbnails is hell, especially on a tablet or something (Which could be used to pull up your portfolio during the interview!).
