    What's up with this game? I've been doing a ton of a sidestuff and exploring but now I'm stuck. The Merry Weather Heist simply won't start. I did everything that was required. I Googled and did those suggestions as well. So Franklin went to the shooting range, Michael went flying. I think I did all the side mission for the characters. But still nothing. This shit is driving me crazy.

    Is it just me or does the city feel pretty dead and souless? I haven't played much of the game yet to be honest, but the little exploration I did was boring as hell... The few open buildings I found were parking garages with absolutely nothing inside. Tried to enter some industrial buildings through a canal and found absolutely nothing interesting in there. Piled up some cars to blow them up and had to empty half of my ammo since vehicles are almost indestructible in this game. I don't remember GTA 4 feeling this souless and empty but then again it's been a long time since I played it.

    Oh there's WAY more stuff to do in here than in GTA4 man, you just need to pick from one of two things, you either create your own fun or you do missions, if you walk around the city waiting for the "fun" to come at you, it will rarely happen. (Although there's some cool random events like you had in Red Dead)


    As for the cars, they only blow up if you shoot at the engine, or the gas tank.

    Nostalgia is probably clouding your judgment of GTA 4, the city in that game was boring as hell, except for the missions. This one feels a lot more lively.

    "empty and soulless" is how i felt about GTA 4 tho. Completely killed my motivation once i realised that almost the whole city is just backdrop with no purpose.

    My copy of GTA V arrived today so i hope what you say isn't true. Would hate to have spent so much cash on a game that i enjoy as little as GTA 4.

    I'll probably play GTA V sometime next year...


    i'm probably one of the only people thats just "meh" about it. Haven't played all the way through any GTA yet. i did 100% Mafia and Sleeping Dogs though (for sandbox games). But something about GTA has always just 'meh' to me. Dunno what it is, maybe the hype ruins it for me.

    So i just stand there in front of a hipster, doing nothing. He feels intimidated and says "ok, that's enough. i'm calling the cops". Police arrives, starts shooting at me. Then i go on a rampage with a stolen bus and police don't care.
