Amazing. I'm amazed nobody on the internet seems to have come across the one all gamers should be looking out for though, is it not in the game? It was in San Andreas.

You can also rob the armoured bank vehicles by shooting the back doors a few times or blowing the truck up

Tried to do this on a bike with an uzi. Didn't work out.

I'm pretty sure I did it with a uzi. You need to hit the centre of the door as far as I know

Oh no doubt, just don't try doing it while on a bicycle.

Haha try doing it in a car speeding down the freeway when you can't aim to save your life with a controller

Luckily I had a uzi so had plenty of bullets to spray at that damn door xD

I'm reading on an Italian forum that several users find the story weak, that GTA 4's was better.

I'm also reading they detest Trevor because of his behaviour and the annoiance of "cleaning him up" before being able to use him.

So, this just confirms i was right to have zero expectations on story, since I can't think of something more boring of GTA4's campaign, and also that there's some truth in what the Escapist magazine wrote about the characters...

Story is weak and characters are weak (especially over-the-top Trevor). Sad but true.

I would give it about 9/10, it isn't as perfect as all the reviewers were making out.

Story was ok, but they could have gone much more interesting places with it and created much cooler mission, still better than IV's story though. I was really hoping the whole T gun running thing would be a bigger part, the possibilities for some amazing missions there was definitely missed.

Personally had no problems with Trevor, thought he actually made an interesting character. Only scene that I honestly didn't like was the torture one, simply because they offer the ability to swap characters but remove it there, I would have like to have not partaken in the torture scene, don't ask me why, just wasn't feeling it.

Extra activities like buying properties is pretty lame, basically they don't actually unlock any interesting missions, just a few blatantly easily scripted fetch quests to bulk up the games content. Nothing like what you got with Vice city and San Andreas properties.

Stats basically felt like they actually changed nothing. I did not notice any difference when I had 100/100.

Why aren't all the races unlocked to begin with, let me pick which race I want to do next not have them unlock 1 by 1. Why do my lockups/airfields/harbors only work for that 1 character, it is just irritating, I don't care if it is realistic. Just little things like that subtract from the experience.

I think the story is awesome! I'm only 50% in so things could change drastically but thus far its a 10/10 for me. Just the atmosphere and music choices alone have lead up to some of the most beautiful moments I have ever experienced in a game. The gameplay/missions are hilarious and fun, and Trevor so far, is my favorite of the 3 characters.

In comparison, GTA 4 was shit, never finished it because the story was so awful, boring and you were rich by the time you cross the first bridge which made his motive to live the American dream pointless...

Man the heists in this game are awesome. It seems that I'm very close to the end now, and one of my few complaints is that there's simply not enough heists, would love for some more DLC heists.

So far it's definitely one of the most enthralling games I've ever experienced, only thing that comes close is something like Skyrim.

My 360 RROD'ed a month ago. Didn't want to pay ~€100 Euro to repair an 6 year old console, so I got an PS3 just to play GTA5.

I like it a lot more than GTA 4, but some of the missions are pretty horrible. Most enjoyable thing is the Rampage side-missions for Trevor, since it reminds me of Redneck Rampage or some other game that I cannot remember. Also, Trevor waking up at random locations is annoying as fuck, especially when the taxi isn't able to come get you there.

Had a bit of fun with this at the weekend! Highlights included getting beaten up by a guy in a cartoon space marine costume, trying to drive a tractor up a large mountain and getting Nikki, one of the dancers in the clubs to come home with Franklin only to accidentally trigger a mission and end up with Nikki, Franklin and his brothers spawning akwardly in the bedroom...

    Welcome back GTA... welcome back.

97/100, can you believe this score? Fuck sake! Although, I was astonished to see that GTAIV has a 98, even with all it's flaws. Really begs the question on whether or not hype can cloud our judgement. Although, you need to try and put yourself in the same timestamp as when the game came out, GTAIV was a fucking landmark.
