Damn! That looks hot. Can't wait!

That's also the best rendition of Los Angeles (or a "Los Angeles inspired city") I've seen in a video game. It's not just the visuals...the whole vibe and tone is right. That's what really puts Rockstar on another level, they know it's all about feel and they get the feel right.
-
Honestly, I was not excited to be heading back to Cali (as the rumors suggested) until I saw it. It looks awesome.
-
Probably seen it about 20 times now, I need somebody to take this trailer away from me, can't handle it D:
-
Trailer looks fantastic.
-
Los Angeles makes a lot of sense for the setting, I expect they're are going to play on the state of the world economy a lot, and there's plenty of upper-class lower-class divide about in it. I expect the guy you're playing gets forced back into a life of crime after he loses his house to foreclosure/ business goes down the pan, or something of that sort. Just in that trailer there's a shot of a foreclosed house going up for sale, as well as a slum of non-hobo-like people living out of tents with household possessions surrounding them.
I must admit, I keep coming back to that trailer, and it's brining me round. Beginning to get a real craving for more of the GTA action

They should make a game where the main character gets cancer and resorts to cooking crystal meth to fund his treatment.

Quote from Thrik
Sounds a lot like Far Cry 2.

That's funny because in their games since gta4 rockstar seems to feel the urge to write a pathetic little background story to give excuses to their characters to steal and murder

I mean, i hope we could play a psychotic nihilist in a gta one day (lol), not simply the weak against the strong, the fighter against the oppression, the poor and the rich etc
But i guess that applies to every videogames in which you kill people, the players seem to need "reasons"

It is Tommy Vercetti

Someone pointed this out. Useful facts:
Zeppelin at 0.17 and 1.04
High Sierra (Sequoia/Yosemite) at 0.20
Palm Springs Windmill park at 0.27
Muscle Beach on Venice Blvd at 0.33
Napa Valley at 0.42
Rodeo Drive at 0.47
Los Santos at traffic sign 0.59
Signs of the depression:
Going out of business 0.34
Foreclosure sign 0.54
Homeless people and tents at 0.59
-
this changes everything!
-
I wish I knew the relevance of all those facts.

Dogs.
DOGS!

I'm hearing a lot of talk that we could have something like The Sopranos on our hands, in that when they say he's a father, etc they mean that quite literally and it's actually part of the ongoing story rather than just a shitty backstory.
I'd quite like to play a GTA where you're an already-established badman forced back into crime after trying to go straight rather than some brute fuck going from rags to riches. I'd also generally quite like to play as a mafia type.
