Mikezilla's new blog from the hospital bed :(

    I follow Mike's tweets from time to time, but never really knew how serious his sickness "might" be. The emphasis is on might, because the doctors apparently haven't figured out yet what is wrong with him. Diagnoses range from Multiple Schlerosis to "complex migraines", I'll just copy/paste what he wrote:

    In closing, I wanted to bring summation to where we are at with identifying what’s wrong with me. I’ve been living in the hospital since last Thursday, it is now Thursday again—that’s seven days of uncertainty I wouldn’t wish upon my gravest of enemies (CURRY MCKNI- I mean, Adolf… uh—Spaceman. My mortal enemy is named Adolf Spaceman.) I came in with signs of a stroke, something we have not yet been able to rule out. I have signs of Multiple Schlerosis, something we have not been not yet been able to rule out. One of the MRI’s found small “legions” on my brain, so brain tumors aren’t ruled out. They’ve brought up “Complex Migraines” on a number of occasions, something we haven’t ruled out other than the fact the symptoms are supposed to go away on their own, which they aren’t. I’m blind in my right eye, my head hurts all the time, the left side of my body has been stroked-out since last week and I have trouble walking or picking things up with my left hand. Oh, and did I mention they found that hole in my heart yesterday? Yeah, they shot two syringes full of air into my veins so they could watch bubbles move around on an ultrasound. Apparently movies just made that shit up about getting air in your vein and dying, in point-of-fact, it’s totally kosher. They do it on purpose and photograph those little bastards galavanting all the live long day through your torn Atria. At least I learned something while I was here.

    Mike doesn't seem to check in here too often anymore, but since he has been around for so long and the core owes him (he hosted these forums for the longest time) I thought the least we could is wish him well.

    I haven't had any interaction with the chap but I can only hope for the best and that, whatever it is he has, the doctor's can take care of.

    Mikey. I was aware he'd been having problems but had no idea of the severity. Your body will beat that crap and you'll come out as mighty as before!

    sucks I don't know him personally but I've been following him on twitter for sometime now, I felt abit sad yesterday because he was supposed to tweet if he made it through his operation but he never did

    I've been following his Facebook updates on the situation for the past week or so. Fuck. It 's amazing though how he still finds the funny in all this crap. This is why I love Mikey. I don't know if he's still reading this forum (which he helped create btw for those of you who don't know who he is). But Mikey, all of Mapcore is behind you!

    Shit that sounds bad I wish him the best, he was one of the most inspiring members for me in this board back in 2004 or so. He was the one who gave me moderator status and even though we always tried our best to piss him off he always took everything with humor. Except for when postman started censuring posts at will, I never saw him lose his nerve/humor with anything else. He even put up a poll once to decide if EOT should be shut off or not. I remember me & the gang registering multiple accounts to vote against it. Good times

    Please fight this and get back on your feet asap Mike, the core is with you!

    I had the same reaction to his FB posts. Get well, Mikey.

    Goddamn those are some fucked up symptoms. Don't let any medical drama writers get a hold of that blog link (they'll steal your story without credit, write the script yourself man)
