It's amazing how much of the story these graffiti can tell, especially this one. Detail is underrated.

    Away with the drama!

I've been playing some competitive and really enjoyed it for the first time in a long, long time. Got his fun flank in one of the games. Nothing special but I like how this game isn't all about aim and quick reactions. You gotta have brains too! :D

So I found this post on reddit about the workshop voting manipulation, but it was quickly deleted. However, the user made a pastebin of it:

If true, it is amazing how so much of all the terrible problems surrounding CSGO can be traced back to gambling in some way. It really is the root of corruption...

Wow, it's hard to believe stuff like this actually happens. Now I'm even more glad most of these sites are getting shut down. E-sports gambling in general needs some serious regulation. Simply insane and unbelieveable.

There are also "steam communities" that reward people for upvoting Greenlight games that pay the group for the boost. They raffle steam keys and shit to their users who mob vote games regardless of content to join the raffles.

Also made a screenshot of a guy admitting he gets paid for it.

    Double standards..

I tried to reduce as much spam as possible from my submissions, but its non-stop. Valve needs to really get things sorted out. It's not enjoyable to contribute when the system can be rigged and you just get endless spam.

The workshop manipulation issue is now on Reddit too.

And 3kliksphilip made a video about it as well.

I guess half of the issue is being dealt with, seeing as they are sending out the letters to the gambling sites telling them to seize their activity with steam, then the "Use my codes on this site for free coins" comments will stop.

Shutting down the gambling sites will probably also remove the whole csbets.net (when they send the notice to them) manipulation issue, since the the sites will be gone there will be no need to manipulate in order to gain advertisement.

But yeah they should also add some form of filter to the steam workshop, its not hard to make something that will spot the same link being posted over and over, in a short space of time. The workshop spam should have been dealt with loooong time ago though :\

I hope Valve pull their finger out and get to the bottom of the vote manipulation, and of course the spam on pages. Maybe ban persistent spammers from posting comments?

On a lighter note, does anyone miss player sprays from previous CS games?

One thing that disturbs me is that in the 3kliksphillip video, he mentioned some of the map spammers do not even have hours in the sdk, the first thing that popped into my mind is that they're also stealing other people's maps to use in their workshop spamming.

This is good but I doubt Valve will do anything about it. If they were serious or cared about the workshop, they would have immediately acted upon this issue on day one.

As I mentioned on my map's page, I also posted in the official CSGO group to draw the attention of Matt, Magnar and the other Valve guys but so far nothing.

It's really sad and frustrating to see your hard work getting massively downvoted in 100+ downvotes within a matter of minutes, and the map sliding into the back of the workshop, denying new people from even discovering the map and playing it. My map "Forlorn" was literally forlorn in less than 24 hrs on the workshop.

The hard truth is that as long Valve/steam are a monopoly, they can get away with anything without any real consequence on their bottom line

Even if i haven't submitted a map for a while, i still have this frequently. It's insane.

I delete everyone of them, and then i block the steam users who spam stupid shit like this. I believe it's working, i used to have 10-15 of them per day (on old maps), now i barely have one every 2-3 days.

I don't want to speak to these guys anyway, so i don't mind banning them from interacting with me in any way.

    Nice video from 3kliksphilip !

I have been reporting all the comment spammers (the ones posting ad links) on my map. I delete all such comments. And one such guy then commented on my profile "report me and ask your friends as well to report". They know nothing's gonna happen. And even I got an offer for my map Bikinibottom, but I blocked the guy. I don't feel right about endorsing gambling sites. Edit:- Something happened? My map now has 1 lesser downvote. The upvotes are constant. And also, all the maps with gambling ads are not featuring on the front page anymore.
