The whole issue with the change is that the first shot is so bad that spraying became the main method of shooting in CS:GO. If that were better, the changes would probably feel way better. I've never quite felt comfortable with the CS:GO AK when compared with 1.6, I don't know why they would make it harder.

    oh that's why I suck! :)

no seriously, never been ace but I haven't been able to adapt to the new mechanics, and always try to do single shots. sometime is embarrassing.

Dont the pros in tournament single/burst fire?? (I don't watch matches)

sometimes they spray down almost one clip, but usually they tend to put some bullets on the head really fast. I think they do not strafe back and forth so much because one of them is killed very fast :)

Tapping/Bursting/Spraying all have their place in the game, the problem is that they've increased the random spread of the pattern which up close doesn't make too much difference, but reduces the range at which spraying is possible.

Spraying was imo, the holy grail of cs aim. If you could learn the spray pattern perfectly, you could fire off 30 rounds down Dust2 A long, and they'd all find their target. Now with the increased random element of the pattern this isn't possible at such distance. They could have increased recovery time between shots so that sprays were harder to do due to "more recoil", kind of like how long it takes the deagle to settle between shots.

They also decreased the accuracy of the first shot which makes those one tap AK entry shots less reliable and again increases the element of random in the weapon accuracy.

As is the way with competitive games, the more random something is, the less space for skill. Skill is the interesting thing to watch, not when a random bullet scores a headshot as you have no control over it, but noobs who don't have skill rely on RNG to close the gap between themselves and better players.

If they want to improve the game they can do a lot without touching those game mechanics for instance, they could finally change that voting system so that we don't have to suffer the monopoly of dust 2 for death match!

Europe needs a new World War and every Russian male ages 10-25 needs to be conscripted. I swear if I get one more screaming Russian kid in matchmaking I'll build a fucking nuke myself. How do those kids with fetal alchohol syndrome even end up in high-rank matchmaking.

There, I said it. Ban me.

I found them very nice to play with. I always summon my inner сyка in warmup to set them on and just roll with it.

Ever since I studied abroad in Eastern Europe I have no problem with them ingame anymore. Just remember one of the few phrases you know, then give some general directions and you are good to go. It really all comes down to attitude.

Honestly, I find many Germans more annoying but that may be so because I am German as well and get all the small idiotic remarks they often throw around in MM comms.

Guess they upped the requirements for Supreme:

*That list is missing a couple of wins on Supreme.

holy shit MM is broken as fuck now. I just got out of (abandoned) a game with only new players that didn't use mics. In MGE.

Fuck it, I'm done, the game is fucking shit right now.

EDIT: to better explain: the iconographic ranking system has been broken from the start. It only serves as a status symbol if you can say "I'm global", when in reality you have only bought a flashbang once, and a smoke maybe three times. When I was in DMG, no one knew how to play sensibly, and would get angry at the mere suggestion that "rush B" wasn't a good strat. Now that Valve has tried for a third or fourth time to salvage it, it's become unplayable garbage. It mixes new players with thousand+ hour players now, it's simply not fun in the least. The ranking system was implemented as a constant, and that's a big problem. As players begin to gain more skill, the ranks make less and less sense. Because Valve failed to note the systems in place in Dota 2 (yet again), we got stuck with a broken ranking system.

I was kicked by a 4 man who were taking turns to kill me each round. On round 8 they kicked me. After game finishes and I load up cs:go, I had been deranked. Definatly not broken...

What's different in the ranking in DOTA?

What's really annoying is that nobody knows what the developers are trying to achieve with this game. If only we knew, we could decide to protest, patiently wait for improvements they planned for, or migrate to a new game now, instead of continuing losing time on a useless game which will only get worse.

Does anyone know if you can revert to before the update and do some compensations on the AK/M4 in offline mode?

it's expressed numerically, so there are no "skill groups" as they exist in CS.

Understand. But I imagine they still mix people with different skill levels, wouldn't make sense to have people only level 14 together... you never have the chance to improve(?).

I think they know, but you can anyway spin it as "experimentation".
