So, after quite a long hiatus I started playing competitive again (been busy). A day after having a near religious experience on inferno where every shot landed on everything, I'm now Legendary Eagle.

Yay. Now I just got to keep this shit.

Guys, anyone experiencing a lot of weirdness with the ranks? My Legendary Eagle may not be fully deserved. Why? Well, I'm Legendary Eagle Master now and I have no idea why. And my buds are too. What the hell is going on?

When I finally broke free of LE I found myself very quickly in LEM. I dipped a couple of times, but that was my next stable rank.

I think it has something to do with the crazy number of DMGs, a very popular smurf/alt rank, but also due to the high number, you often play a full lobby of DMGs. When you hit that first eagle, you start getting LEMs and occasionally the odd SMFC, which makes ranking up easier if you win, as they would theoretically be more difficult and consequently offer a larger reward. It works the other way as well in which you aren't expected to do as well against them and maintain the rank.

Those are my thoughts anyway, having been pinging between DMG and SMFC for a while.

Not sure, cause so many people I know have suddenly ranked up. I'm not LEM-level yet. Anyway, I'll just keep playing and I'll try to maintain Legendary Eagle.

I ranked up to LE yesterday, two of my friends also ranked up.

Maybe there was another VAC wave or they changed the rank system.

DMG has the highest group of people in varying skill. There are low end DMG's who are gloried gold novas, then there are the high ranking DMGS who can play on par with SMFC. DMG has this huge variance in skill level and it just so happens to be the place people get stuck at in a rank the most. When I got out of DMG, I climbed to LEM in 2 days, while before I was DMG for months.

I somehow managed to get to LEM on my own after about a month or so of playing last summer; however, since then the hackers and kids who don't necessarily play the game made me derank to the nova era. needless to say I cannot get out of the gold nova rank at all! I think I'll stick with the third party sites such as faceit, cevo and esea.
