surely it would be easier for one to move than many? COME TO EUROPE OBV, the real home of competitive CS (minus the UK, because WTF are you doing UK?)

matchmaking in europe consists of either russians thrashtalking with the two english words they know, or some swedish teenager pumped up on redbull playing shit trance over the microphone

mm is bad risky if you don'y queue with a full 5 people in any region. Me and a few mapcorians have always been 4-5, and we've had great games. Only thing that would make them bad is an uber smurf or a hacker as we all get along well.

meh it's rare that I get an unfair game. People spend too long looking at peoples hours etc to justify dying on MM.

'it's not my fault we died, they have a player on 54 hours!'

Someone started doing that whole spiel on my team last night after 3 of them pushed through smoke on a inferno B rush and instantly died. Maybe don't push through smoke after making it clear to the enemy you're there? Just a thought.

Let me just give you an example here:

I'm a nova 3, because this MM is sooooo shitty. I just matched into a game with a bunch of angry ~14 year olds, against one guy carrying the other team with 8 hours. So far I've been called a faggot ~10 times, tk'd once, and had to mute the entire other team + two people on my team. Hoooooooly shit, the half isn't over yet

added the below to my autoexec after finding it in a reddit thread

    -

    Code
bind . "bind mwheelup invprev; bind mwheeldown invnext"
bind / "bind mwheelup +jump; bind mwheeldown +jump"

Any one up for some season over the weekend by the way? My normal lobby 'don't want to play it because they don't know it well enough'

a bind to switch between weapon switching and jumping. you could probably simplify that to a toggle bind.

i tried to set up a bind that meant when i strafed left cl_righthandweapon 1 and when i strafed right cl_righthandweapon 0

was meant to allow you to peek either corner and not have your weapon obscuring it. in practice adadadadaad would be massively distracting. luckily i didnt manage to make it work

I prefer as two separate buttons just so I don't double press and get confused.

Start angrily jumping at enemies with my knife out..

Thought they were not accepting scripts like this for competitive matches

Has anyone been watching the MLG tournament this weekend? I was actually surprised with the production quality of the event and the commentators have been doing a great job. The game between NiP and Fnatic yesterday was some of the best CS I've seen. Top notch stuff. The finals are on in about 6 hours.

Final has been pretty enjoyable so far, great play from both teams

The final was great but I feel Cobble let it down. I think it's pretty clear none of the teams or community like the map in the competitive scene. I don't mind the map myself but every time it is played by the pros it's always a bit boring I find. I know Valve have put a fair bit of work into the map to try and give the sites some cover and to attempt to shorten the rotation times between sites but I still don't think it's there.

I think I'd prefer to see it replaced by Train or Season. Maybe they will once the operation is over?

Great tournament though. Had me on the edge of my seat up until Cobble.

Agreed, cobble wasn't that exciting to watch as a spectator either. Loved the inferno match. The overall production was great too When is the next big tournament?

Cobble doesn't really work imho. I dislike it because it has so many corners, angles, spots and potential backstabs. It's like 'Paranoia: The Map'. The finals could've really used one of the other maps as the decider.

I don't know which minor tournaments are next, but EMS One Katowice is in March and it'll be awesome!
