Second one is bullshit. You need 10 wins to become ranked, that's 5 days back to back playing and ensuring 2 wins each day.

    It's something you do once.

Rumors are that these guys aren't the only pro players who cheat. This is gonna be interesting! Might come some last-minute VAC bans before DHW.

Can't pro players enter some sort of contract where they pay shit ton of penalties if they are caught or something? :/

They should be, as this sport becomes larger and larger, it needs a better framework to protect the game from its players, and followers for that matter. VAC bans are pretty serious anyway and ruin a player's reputation, but there should be fines on the entire team/organisation similar to how if a shop is caught selling alcohol to underage. That way it forces teams to be vigilant, and not play dumb "oh look we won DHW2014 with a hacker, nvm!"

    I don't think it's so bad. For a smurf account, that's a looooooooooong time.

But to someone new, that's 2 wins not games. If you're new and struggling then 2 wins a day may seem quite a challenge, and you may want to get used to the other game modes anyway.

I think it's quite an elegant solution rather than saying "100 games until official matchmaking"

paired with the other new MM requirements it should massively reduce hacking/smurfing. Smart changes.

people on reddit are complaining it's not 'just the team logo' again.

I don't valve would be able to do that twice? would create a lot of confusion. I like the new stickers too, exp the cloud 9 holo.

Fascinating speculation about a player on one of the top teams in all of CS:GO

If it turned out to be true, it would be a shit show of epic proportions.

It's really disappointing to see all of this hacking happen. I like E-Sports, but people seem to lose sight of what its really about. It shouldn't be all about money or winning skins via betting. I felt E-Sports was one of the platforms with the least amount of fanboys and drama. I hope this whole mess gets sorted out soon. Selfish players doing stuff like this could potentially bring down the entire scene.

I don't want to blame skins on everything (because that's not true)-- but I think it's probably one of the biggest reasons why there's all these scandals. You have gambling and match-fixing and ddosing and all this money being pumped into tournaments from the crates/keys/stickers which puts so much pressure on players and when the temptation of undetected cheats is that tangible to pro players, you're bound to have people breaking the rules.

Obviously it's the pros' fault for cheating at the end of the day, but the cheat providers have so much more incentive to create better and better cheats for a growing market.

People cheating, potentially even on LAN, in real life, in front of thousands of spectators. Or, at home online, in small matches. Or in irrelevant PUGS. Because the pro players are VAC banned, and that's all we can tell, we don't have any idea where or when they cheated.

Which is maybe the point of globally banning them, since the trust was lost.

Soo MM seems to be entirely broken while Valve's out for DH (still trying to figure that patch timing out...). Deranked despite top fragging by a lot twice, going on a solid loss streak of about 10 or so.

Does anyone else have trouble launching CSGO's SDK? I tried also launching just the Hammer, but it says I'm missing tier0.dll and problem's not getting fixed by verifying game content.

No, I didn't even want to work on my CSGO map.. :/

works just fine for me. Dunno if its the right way to go, but have you tried to verify the integrity of csgo and the sdk tool?
