hmm I naturally would have assumed the point is a disadvantage because I cant see my movement penalty but when in rome ![]()
It certainly worked miracles in quakeworld and its kin.
For all you hardcore fuckers out there that put K/D ratios on top of graphical beauty, this is for you.
This also unlocks the full options menu as we know it from other source games. So you can set water reflections, motion blur, HDR levels...everything.
(Although i predict this being blocked anytime soon)

LOL!
It's like playing inside the Hammer Editor. I have to try this.
Finally. Something that gets all that shit out of my face.
I bet you run around your NS2 map in fullbright mode with all the LOD's at their lowest and all the textures mipped down with your hud disabled and your FP weapon off with no shadow maps running on Win 98 and a giant frame counter reading 174 FPS because you're in 1024 x 768 on a CRT, obviously.

I read that listening to a Zelda boss battle soundtrack.
I play on my work pc (max-end current PC spec) in 1.6 on 640x680 with everything on minimum, left-hand weapon models and low net-rate settings. Sue me? I'm sorry to say I played 1.6 to some high level tournaments (wcg etc) and CSS too but CS:GO just seems bad to me, even css feels somehow nicer? I dont really know why, some weapon feel or something. CSGO too easy to headshot, no recoil at first few bullets but if u must spray, no control at all. 1.6 imo had perfect recoil control - very skill-intensive but also very rewarding and in the scope of the overall 5v5 competetive gamemode it was definitely not overpoweriong - very balanced skillbased mechanic.
in CSGO it feels like CSS in the regard that almost all highlevel play is teamwork-based rather than having the ability to pull out the clutch with huge individual play. Players like f0rest and Ne0 will be irrelevant in this game. To make a reference to NBA basketball .... there will never be a Michael Jordan or a Kobe or CS:GO - it simple is not possible. The skill ceiling is too low. Similar to CSS there is very small room for huge impact from individual play. There will not be any moment like moto at (eswc?) huge tournament winning 1v4 behind moto box. Youo won't be seeing huge plays from individually strong players. It will be shit to spectate and shoutcast imo.
With CSGO random recoil and all that shit - retarded mechanic. Luck based not skill. Bad for competetive.
uim drunk fyi

HOW DID U KNOE
But no seriously, at least ns2 lets me turn everything off.
Quote from Pericolos0lol that makes de_dust look a lot less readable imo.
Noob, that's not de_dust ![]()
He if you don't want any graphical awesomeness you can also play CS 1.6
Playing 1.6 is like watching movies on VHS and listenning to music with cassette.
*facepalm*
Goddamn. The amount of times I've unloaded an entire clip into someone 5ft away only to die with 94 damage given in 3 hits is ridiculous.
All in all, I find the weapon spread really weird some times.
And is it me, or does crouching make the spread even worse?

Tbh spread should be a non-issue. You either aim for the head or you can go home.
Stand-offs barely depends on weapons (ok.. sometimes), mostly it's about who's got the better aim.
If you're aiming for the body you're doing it wrong.
It only takes 1 shot...
Ok whatever, you know what I'm getting at. ![]()
