if any of you have time I suggest you noclip around cbbl. I'm really surprised how many unreachable areas are fully textured!
Sign it's been changed in a rush?

It might have been left that way in case any boosts lead to players being able to see through walls? Only a couple of hours after the update there were posts on Reddit of boosts allowing players to see through walls into bomb sites.
All of Valves maps have pretty sloppy optimization when it comes to brush and texture work. Just look at any of the example VMFs included with the SDK!
Haha didn't think you meant that high!
I think the new changes have been really good. The tall wall protecting Ts at their main B entry is a little unscrupulous imo, but generally the map plays so much better it's great!
Wanted to try few things on Cbble A fixes http://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffens…e_improvements/
What do you think?

Saw this. Might be a good opportunity for someone on here looking for a new project.
I wonder if anyone has tried to go from GO to 1.6. I want to see a port of Overpass in 1.6.
would probably feel pretty cramped if it worked. 1.6 is a lot faster than cs:go, isn't it?

There are a couple of people around here who could probably pull it off. Somebody should do it
Original post has been removed. I can't gauge what's going on?
From the comments it looks as if he wants to bring mirage2 into CSGO as it was originally made for 1.6, or he wants help finishing it for 1.6?
Original post was removed because it didn't have enough to do with CS:GO ![]()

bring de_mirage2 into cs:go. He doesn't know how to hammer and no time to learn.
I think it's a couple steps about the normal 'please port this over to CS:GO posts' due to the guy having a number of proven designs that are still being played today. The layout looks really interesting (look at the horseshoe middle) and I'd love to see it running on source (not for me to butcher though
)

Obviously taking valuable space away from 'fluff' posts.
The overall layout is really smart and well designed. Whether the specific engagement details work is something I'll have to investigate when I get home.
Can't find a bsp for it. Just a cheesy video ![]()
This seems to be his original post. It's in Swedish though, but here's the Google translation ![]()
QuoteDisplay MoreHello,
Michael called me , I've done cpl_strike and de_mirage to CS 1.6 .
In early 2011 , I started at the Mirage 2 and a lot has happened since then ...I made it clear Mirage 2 of 1.6 in early November 2014 ( due to family and other lay it on ice for several years) .
When I started in 2011 so it is once again a 1.6 track and I had long not supposed to make it clear that when 1.6 went over to CSGO but then I think that it was so enormous potential to be even better than the Mirage I took myself the collar and made it clear Mirage 2 at the end of last year.
There must obviously be a remake of CSGO which I do not have time now that I 'm getting old ( actually true ) and spend all my time on my farm with my family. The course is either a flip or flop and anyway I want to have some help and feedback .
Below is a clip where I show Mirage 2 and the 1.6 -fashioned feeling .
Any feedback is good and there is some kind soul out there who sits on the great Hammer properties for CSGO and have more time than me, so please you, all the time you spend , however, is non-profit .
Sincerely
Michael ( BubkeZ )
I don't want to look like an arrogant person, but it really doesn't seem that great ... No ?
On a large scale, it's hard to understand the level with just the video, so I let the benefit of doubt, it might be perfect i don't know.
But from what i see, it seems very large and out of scale, i know 1.6 maps used to be like that but it's even worse (in my opinion). Plus, there are few areas that must be terribly hard to attack.
For example, when he goes there with this tiny sight line :

How is the opponent supposed to see you and shoot you?
And others things but i'm tired and lazy. And he is like saying "Ok i'm the genius who created de_mirage, can you make all the work to port it over CS:GO please ? (for free ofc), thanks"

I agree there are some minor issues but having run around the map it's got more good interesting ideas than it does weird issues. He probably should have just released it for everyone to play, no idea why he didn't do that. For instance, the map doesn't seem as big when you run around it, even if it is a large map, because the rotations are so fast.
As for the example you pointed out, it's right near the CT spawn, so that's not as OP as it might seem. etc
Yes it's true that i didn't even said that i found some ideas really cool : The mix between very short-range and mid-range combats, that wide ramp with the 2 large windows above, the vent for throwing grenades through the roof, the grates that plays the opposite role than a smokegrenade (you can see through but you can't walk through)...
Yes sry i actually became arrogant in my post :x
