    Hi Ferret!

Meanwhile, I loved the music and sound design in the first Borderlands...Mad Moxxi Underdome Riot had awesome intro music and the Moxxi's voiceover was excellent.

Guess I just liked the game so I'm seeing everything through anti-urine colored glasses.

I really really tried to like the first one. But the clumsy interface, awkward quest system and most of all, the constant respawning of enemies and bosses I had already killed were too annoying for me to continue. Now I'm not hating on this game, just wondered if someone could tell me if those issues are resolved? The first reviews are all very promising but do not mention the issues that bothered me about the first one.

    Thanks in advance.

Anybody tried the PC version? I'm definitely not getting this if the pc port is as offensive as the first one.

Giant Bomb specifically talks about PC issues in their review and quicklook. The tldr version is that the PC version is awesome as heck, and you don't need to worry, apparently.

I never really got into the first game, maybe because the lack of character customization and the desert pallet, I dunno. Borderlands 2 however is friggin awesome, hilariously dark, and the pallet is much more interesting this time around. I'm really impressed by it so far!

What about the interface? Are the quests more entertaining? If you finished an area or a boss, do they still respawn every time you visit that area again?

Wall Street Journal: "Borderlands 2 fails to cross over"

    Quote

Also back is Claptrap, a droid that’s somewhat of a cross between a snarky, profane C3PO with the body of an R2D2. Claptrap acts as your guide, and is a fairly detestable character, who left me cold. When his camera eye got plucked out by an alien on the first mission, I didn’t care. Still, I had no choice but to go out and put my Zero character at risk to restore the loathsome droid’s sight.

Hating on claptrap? That's cold, bro.

Borderlands 2’s single-player campaign mode isn’t as good as what you’ll find in games like COD: Black Ops or the Medal of Honor series. There’s too much “feast-or-famine” hunting for tasks, supplies and a good battle for this to be a fun game all the way through.

    Quote

And Borderlands 2 misses on enough counts so that I not only didn’t joy puke, I didn’t even get a tiny bit of mirthful bile in my throat. It may be the game for you, but if you’re in the market for a new FPS, I’d at least counsel waiting to compare it to Black Ops 2, due out Nov. 13, or Halo 4, which is slated for a Nov. 6 release.

    Here's the link.

Interface is good to me, I dont remeber BL1's tbh. Its doesn't feel like a shitty port. Selecting weapons from inventory is a bit odd but easy enough. Phyx system is fun. Enemies are far more dynamic.

So far, most areas, depending on the quest your on, the enemies/Boss's still respawn, but its meant for grinding unlockables/gear. I donno, it never bothed me before, its kinda like saying the same thing about Diablo games for example.
