I've always wanted to play a game where the USA is the enemy for a change in a fictional timeline... (World In Conflict/Homefront flipped around). I've yet to see a single-player game do this.. it would be refreshing to shoot US marines or rangers for once. I don't have anything against the US military or anything (apart from some major fuckup operations..) but I just think it's about time someone went there. Sure the Daily Mail and Fox would cry blood like they always do.. but no one ever gives a shit about that anyway.
Project Reality is probably the closest thing out there right now to become an insurgent and play against the Americans. It's fun to switch over from time to time just because it gives you a different perspective. Check it out. http://%7boption%7d

Doesn't hurt to dream once in a while.
Been working up the courage to tacke this idea for quite some time now, not there yet.
Missing the triple A development team and mountain of cash you offered :derp: , among others
things.
A snippet:
Outline of the plot:
The remains of humankind is scattered around the galaxy, lead by few of the finest and
at the same time worst possible individuals imaginable. The protagonist is one of these
individuals. Elevated to the status of demigod, he wrecklessly pursues his agenda with
reasoning and sanity seemingly left behind.
The story is conveyed through the first person perspective and offers a multitude of
environments ranging from foreign planets, surface layers of gas giants and most notably
human made space colonies(true 3D lanscapes). Bringing in the fourth spatial
dimension as a key element.
Gameplay:
The core gameplays idea is to provide a two layer combat system: the soldier level and
the hero level(the player exists on the hero level). The soldiers are mostly concentrated
on their level, while the heroes aim is to defeat the other heroes to win the battle, the
soldiers can engage the heroes but that would require heavy machinery or substantial
outnumbering. The player has at his/her disposal a large variety of weapons and vehicles.
In addition to the core gameplay there are various other scenarios that have a very
different approach and may not contain any regular foes or combat at all.

But you can do that in most multiplayer games, like PR indeed and the latest MOH. I was thinking more of a single-player campaign for example; America invades Russia and you're a Russian defending the motherland (see what I did there Helder..

I'd bring back porn games for the nintendo U. Because its all about U and your Wii.

A game set in the Appalachian mountain area of the US, with ghosts and stuff, drawing from shattered memories's "player-customized scares" concept. The Appalachian mountains were full of coal and had a rush of people over the last century, but within the last few decades that all collapsed, leaving millions poor and living in mountain towns hundreds of miles from affluence and luxury. The coal industry has been instead replaced with mountaintop removal, literally exploding entire mountains, burying the valleys around them with the rubble, and taking out the ore and moving on. Hundreds of square miles of west virginia alone have been reduced to worthless wasteland.
This part of the world has lots of ghost towns, deep forests, long lonely roads, old steel mills, industrial areas, extreme poverty, etc. that could really serve as good inspiration for atmosphere, imo. Here's Bethlehem Steel, for example:

They tore it down years and years ago after the american industry collapsed, and replaced it with a football stadium. But if you're getting into paranormal shit, who's to say you can't have a ghost building?
