well at least it doesnt affect the PC gamer very much, the last football game i played was NFL2k on my dreamcast

i read this shit yesterday and was gonna make a post....i didnt click on the link you posted but im pretty sure its about ea buying the exclusive rights for nfl players and shit

its pretty gay....especially since the $20 espn football game was pretty kick ass compared to madden 2005 (and i really have played both)...madden 2005 is pretty good as far as hardcore detail goes though.

overall i have to say...who gives a shit...a football game is a football game is a football game....and its not like the madden series has a reputation of being garbage

btw nfl2k2 was fucking kick ass on the dreamcast....i remember the hardon i got when i first saw the graphics

Madden 02 (I think) is really fun, but I tryed some old Blitz game for PS long time ago and it was REALLY funny.

Agreed, I really don't see the point in football games, I mean games are meant to be there for you to do stuff you can't get away with in real life (ie shooting people in the face, being a firebreathing dragon, command an army etc), with football you can just go down to the park and play the thing anytime.
