I'm really enjoying this, including the combat. Once I got found the Parry button and bound the bombs to a pocket, things went smoothly. There's some funny business going on with video settings. On everything absolute minimum, even my resolution knocked down a notch to the next available 16:10 res, I only get like 20-25FPS on average. But then, on everything on minimum, the game still looks like this:[Blocked Image: http://i.imgur.com/S2YRr.jpg]

The resolution and textures seem to be properly ass, but everything else, especially the shadows, looks way better than they have any right to on minimum.

    what are your system specs?

Yeah, mostly. It sometimes chugs a bit too much, like when I was approaching the prisoners to be hung in flotsam with the big crowd in front of them, but so far not to the point of unplayability, and not nearly as bad when I actually have to fight dudes.

Just finished it at 39 hours. I skipped a couple side quests i didnt care for but overall it was really good.

Fighting the dragon was pretty cool. A nice appitizer before the final. The final Antagonist was a decent fight, but what was strange about it, is that you could fight him or let him go. I wonder how that will effect the 3rd game. Should be interesting. After all of the insightful information you are given by choice, the end was pretty disipointing, I was hoping they would at least show what is to happen next rather than just walking out of the city with bad sound cuts, hehe.

I'm going to replay it now and take the other path.

Only played it for about 2 hours so far, haven't really gotten to the meat of the game it seems (just got on a ship and went to some forest). It definitely feels very old school in a lot of ways, the first hour is the most unintuitive beginning for a game I've seen in quite a while, trial by fire indeed. I don't think I made it easier for myself tho, since I picked the dragon dialog line in the beginning, and was treated to that awful sequence which I failed like 10 times before I finally got it right. Anyway, slowly but surely it's getting better, and if there indeed is as much choice and freedom as people claim then it should be good, it's just a very unpolished experience so far.

Good to see this game is joining the "RPG game that only gets good after at least 5 hours in"

Not really, it was good from the start. Its refreshing to have something that isn't an easy in for a change.

Better then the first but don't like it that much, agree with Sterling.

I'm trying to like this game. I'm enjoying the combat more, but the game still doesn't keep my interest. right now it feels like i'm performing maze algorithms, trying to figure out where I can navigate between the invisible walls. maybe it's just this specific area that's not that good.

i don't get why i'm not enjoying this game. i usually love RPGs like this.
