well, people will over-react to anything. everbody wants to be pained about something and actlike they are being raped by game companies.

    i hate them.

I get why people are worried that Kyd isn't scoring this one, his soundtracks added a lot of style to the games and are a huge part in the identity of the series. However when it comes to Bateson then I think he had so few lines in previous games that people are really overreacting.

I gotta agree here. While Bateson didn't do a bad job, it was a bit on the generic side. Kyd's shoes are harder to fill but I trust IO can find someone worthy.

Keith Carradine is badass btw, loved him in Dexter.

I think a large part of it is the association of change from bateson for the Hitman Movie. The last time someone not Bateson tried to play 47 it was awful. I've been seeing unsourced rumors posted around claiming that IO has said they want the next Hitman game to tie into the movie/sequel more or something like that.

Here's an unrelated sample of Bateson's voice:

I'm fine with 47 killing dudes, and getting in firefights. His cover's been blown by the plot, and having the rules and parameters go out the window due to desperate times were always interesting moments in the old games and is not at all a bad concept for the sequel. But it looks so scripted! With all the dialog and behavior of the NPCs, and the not very big level, and no "safe zone" apparently where you can safely explore before taking risks, and the special camera angles for stuff like jumping from building to building, it looked not at all Hitman. It looked Splinter Cell.

Also I don't know how things work in Norway but here in America (where Chicago is conveniently located) we have rules, and police helicopters don't just start shooting at unarmed suspects. I hope that's fixed for the release, gotta respect realism you know :cop:

the chopper did start to shoot becouse he killed several officers and the heli pilot even said that the suspect is armed,

for me ? i loved it, as long as part like these are just few, and most of the game will be like classic Hitman, i loved that part when he was "suspected" and you could hear those cops thoughts, and the part when he could reach for machine gun, but insted he started to eat a donught, and didn't need to start a firefight. Oh and when he had a hostage and the rest of the cops didn't start to shoot, was great and intense, hope it will be all like this, and this part wasn't scripted to act this way, becouse in previews Hitman games, i hated when i had a human shield, and they just shoot the shit out of it without any thinking

what i don't like at all is that "hitman vision" or how it is called

    wow, splinter cell indeed..

i mean it looks like fun and i like a lot of satuff there but it's a far cry from some of the classic hitman levels i remember; villa, meat market dance club, the bazaar in hitman 2, the opera house.. just looks like it's pandering to the latest trends and i guess that is fine and hopefully IOI can make some money, but i also hope they don't get locked into some kind of loop where all their games are 3rd person action shooters

You know I don't think I've ever been sarcastically American without everybody taking it seriously. What an unfortunate state our public image is in.

Nonono I figured you knew, especially considering the "tone" of the rest of that sentence, it was just very funny

I think the lol was more directed at the fact that IO, makers of the game, are based in Copenhagen, Danemark. Small difference to most americans, but not to Europeans

And of course, the fact not everyone gets sarcasm...

I should've said Belgium. Or Croatia. I bet Croatia would've gotten some good laughs.

So are IO taking special efforts to be less racist with Absolution? Because they don't really have a good track record in that category with past Hitman games.
