Kind of out of nowhere. Never finished the original but it had a lot of cool ideas.

Not that there were many, but Prey was the best game on the Doom III tech (though Brink might technically take that mantle since it's still an evolution of that engine). Absolutely worth playing if you haven't. Can't wait for this one.

I loved Prey! Best game with idtech4 for sure. Not only it looks good, it plays great. Some game design decisions in that game are just genius!

Yeah that's kind of weird, especially with quite a big part of the first game being about the native American guy and his ability to channel ancient spirits or some shit. It was an interesting twist on an otherwise fairly typical id Tech 4 shooter.
