Looks wicked sick. Hope they got some good scripters in that bunch of nine as they have a superb art team thats for sure. I love how the textures have the same look and match very well together with giving an awesome amount of variety too. Sick modelling skills too.

If they can make the fps work for mechs i will be really hyped for this. I hope its got the controls of a modern fps and not weird ones to make it seem like you are in a clunky mech.

Great art direction, those environments give some of Naughty Dog's creations a run for their money in terms of crazy detail.

Environment looks fantastic, gameplay looks unappealing. Excellent artists!

Yeah, after Mech Assault series, I kinda expect destructible environments... BUT THEY ARE TOO PRETTY TO DESTROY

    looks freaking awesome

I have no idea why people are saying it looks like District 9 though. That movie took place mostly in a ghetto.

TBH first time I watched the trailer i thought it looked a little bit like Peris's entry to that level design contest a year back.

I also thought to Peris' Abandoned Colony. Very well done and as said Campaingjunkie those env are too hot to destroy!

Looks like more Killzone to me, but since it's made by 9 guys, woa.

Looks more like the city in The Fifth Element than Killzone.

Jeez guys, come on. Have you no culture? It's clearly inspired by cheapo sci-fi novel covers. Just look at the concept art in the wallpaper posted on their site:

How come, a team of artists creating the best visuals seen in an indie title so far, can't be bothered to learn the basic rules of Bevel and Emboss in Photoshop...

Alright I'll play ball and jump on the "what's the inspiration from" bandwagon...

The only thing this reminds me of is the slumps of the city of Zalem in Gunnm (Battle Angel in NA). And of course that means it's made of win

love that the environments are just a bunch of primitives with photos slapped on mashed together. It's all about good atmospherics and composition .

exactly my thought ! but i am glad to see that one can still get away with that and have it look great ! because that workflow is fast and fun !
