We just concluded Under The Dome. Season 3 started really shit, as of ridiculous writing (stuff happening without really links to previous stuff) then became slightly coherent… overall was shit, feels they went off a tangent from the initial theme. Shame because the S1 theme was very "King".

Also just finished watching Arrow Season 3, which improved episode after episode, especially after mid-season. How cool it would be if they could create shows like this with a GoT budget…

So, I'm watching Breaking Bad again. We mostly just let it play in the background while we cook or whatever. Such an amazing show, I've forgotten how much attention to detail is crammed into every ep.

Watched Basic for the first time in english. Well only watched it once when I was a teenager. I think is one of those movies that more brutally cheat the audience with mindfuck treatment. I have been trying to understand how it all puzzles up together but I struggle. I think there must be a fundamental flaw, since it never became one of those cult movies like Memento.

Also started watching The Flash that finally is available (on Now TV in UK), first 3 episodes are good. I'm annoyed by the fact that they are using brothers and friends from peer shows, instead of being funny easter eggs they become just distracting. Also casting the old Flash actor was quite silly. He seems pretty good as an older man, but I've seen some pictures of next seasons and it's just silly choice. It incredibly annoyed me that they hired the actor that is playing Victor Zsasz in Gotham to be a meta human. At first I thought that was going to be a call back, then realised it wasn't. Of course time lines are completely different (Gotham is "past") but what the hell, how difficult is to hire someone original? It makes it feel like they had him signed for so many episodes, changed something and had to give him a part elsewhere.

Friend of mine is watching it and when I happened to be there I was convinced she was much further into the story. There's so much happening in the show.

Doesn't matter how old I get or how many new movies and series I see, I simply cannot let the 80's go. I truly believe I'll never be able to nor do I want to anyway. So, @blackdog stated earlier he had never seen Robocop and that triggered me to watch it again. After that, I watched The Thing, one of the best horror movies known to man. Last weekend, I concluded it with Total Recall, which I consider one of the best sci fi action movies ever made. Doesn't matter how many times I've seen these movies, they just never get old. Each and every time I watch them again I just sit there in disbelieve at how fucking awesome they still are. I don't think I'll ever grow tired of them. So, let me leave you with this little gem:

Watched the entire season of Stranger Things over the weekend. I think everyone around me saying how good it was got my expectations too high, but I enjoyed it a lot none-the-less. Got a great 80's vibe from the show and took me back to my childhood again. Lots of fun and kept me gripped even though it was focused around a group of kids mostly.

Finished off Better Call Saul Season 2 a week ago. Man, this is how you make a good show! Every character is unique and complex in his/her own way!

'The True Cost' on netflix. A pretty harrowing look at what fast fashion (cheap disposable clothes) is doing to the world.

    Worth a watch.

I don't understand all the rave with Deadpool :| I find it just "ok". I know it's an irreverent character and different from the others, but I found the continuous breaking of the 4th wall a bit annoying, would be ok done sparingly a-la House of Cards. He's not just addressing to the audience but as well at the movie industry, which I find jarring. Humor was good but sometimes they slipped in a joke too much, just to fill. Also annoying the CG character is a bit too noticeable fake in the action shots. But I think thing that annoyed me most was the movie flow, that for half of the runtime bounces between the opening action sequence and flashbacks.

Maybe I just ruined it because I was too tired and had to watch it in more than one sitting. But I'm happy I didn't pay for it.

Continuing my catching up, on the other hand Civil War must be the best Marvel movie to date. I can't think of anything better or even equally good; maybe Iron Man had a similar emotional impact, being the very first good superhero movie.

They really outdid themselves balancing and giving meaningful contribution to any hero, I wasn't expecting to see Ant Man giving such a big contribution. Also choreography for Falcon was very good.
