    Just watched Silver Lining's Playbook.


    Thought it was good, but not great. Jennifer Lawrence is fucking hot though. Only a few months younger than me, dayum.

    Warriors (aka Peacekeepers)


    Unflinching depiction of the situations UN peacekeepers from UNPROFOR faced whilst posted in Bosnia during the war. What's interesting is that it focuses on not so well known ethnic cleansing of Bosnian Muslims in the Lašva Valley conducted by Croatian HSO paramilitary forces. Serbs are still depicted as ugly mean inhuman monsters and the production is not without bias but it's one of the better produced dramatisations of the conflict with some familar faces from before they were famous including Spook's Matthew Macfadyen and Homeland's Damien Lewis.

    I tried to watch the French film "Immortel (ad vitam)" yesterday but I couldn't get into it because I had no idea what was going on (like why the Hell is most of the film CG?!) so I turned it off.


    I read up that's based on a graphic novel so maybe I'll give it another chance or try and track down the original trilogy book if I can find it in English...

    Tonight i went to see Hunger Games Catching Fire, having really really, really low expectations* i actually enjoyed it: they cut most of the "big brother" crap from the first, also they've cut on the number of CG scenes (i think) so the CG bits were much better quality than the previous.

    Plus I went to see it with three girls so it would have been an enjoyable evening anyway.

    *first chapter was the worst blockbuster movie i had seen since Star Trek (2009).

    And this week, after a break lasted 2/3 of Breaking Bad Season 2, I got around the last 4 episodes of The Walking Dead Season 3. Great ending after a weak start; the zombie in the penultimate ep is the best ever wasn't expecting the finale going this way.

    I remember i wanted to shoot myself in a foot to keep me awake. Luckily it was just downloaded.Yeah it mostly CG, i think to remember something like they had a little budget, but i could be mistaken. Artistically it was a bad copy of Star Gate so I was tempted to burn the file just to poop on it.
