Walking Dead - Season 3 was my favorite so far. It was really well paced. Looking forward to number 4!

I wish the fight lasted a bit longer when the ambush started. It seemed a bit "Benny Hill" on the way out, hehe, but overall I can't complain. They sadly only have 42 minutes to show everything.

Damn, Game of thrones just blew this out of the water

Aye, pretty good season finale for Walking Dead.

Best episode of the season was still the one with Rick, Michonne and Carl meeting Morgan

I'm already angry that I have to wait a week until the next Game of Thrones episode tho, so good ;(

I don't want to make reference to recent movies, but if you liked Memento you can't go possibily wrong with this.

Interesting that you say that, I always find the religious undertone of Hollywood movies (if they have it) to be a huge thorn in the eye ("Signs", wtf...). It always detracts from my experience.

I think that's because they always want to spill their beans out for you (haven't seen Signs btw), I liked the take here, seemed different to the usual for me.

Anyone every watch Brotherhood? I never really hear much talk of it among the better shows out there but it's better than all of them I'd say, minus the wire or some ridiculous shit. I'm into the second season now and it's some of the best TV I've watched. And I've watched all the tvs.

That was it for TWD then:

Regarding GoT: I should have watched the last or even last two episodes of season 2 before watching the 1st episode of season 3. That would have helped to get back into the storyline, but I'm still glad it's back on.

That news about Andrew Lincoln leaving TWD was an April Fool's joke

Also found it difficult to get back into GOT, but then it's always the case as they have so many characters to remember! Was still a good episode though and good to have it back on. Have been watching all seasons of Southland recently, have made it to Season 5, this show is really good

Still not sure if my time might not be better spent watching a different show though.

Gave it a go when it was first coming out, didn't like the first two episodes so I didn't bother.

I guess if you really didn't like them then I wouldn't say to bother, as the style of the show doesn't change. However the first series (whilst still enjoyable I thought) is the weakest of all of them and this is reflected in the review scores from various outlets when it was on TV. The second season saw the ratings jump and since then it's consistently good. Could be something to do with it switching channels as well, it was dropped after season 1 and TNT renewed it.

I think it's great personally, and I watch a lot of shows. Kind of seems to me like End of Watch - The Series

Even though that first link was an april fools joke I can't shake the feeling that season 4 of the walking dead is where it makes or breaks...

Personally, I got into the GOT instantly. It was like magic! Love that fucking show.

There Will Be Blood - I don't know how this possibly won so many awards, I turned it off after an hour and thirty minutes, it's like watching paint dry, it has got to be the most boring film I've ever come across! I don't think I have the patience/will to watch anymore unless anyone can convince me the rest of the film is any better...

i went on a binge with the in flight movies across the pond. watched cloud atlas, django, 2/3rds of the hobbit and the new dredd

was really impressed with cloud atlas and dredd for cinematography. also the city design in dredd totally gave me a LD boner. cloud atlas' narrative was at times hard to follow, but still very entertaining, i loved the intertwining of every period in the movie. dredd had some pretty good acting by the villians, even tho the psychic thing was a bit over the top.

django was entertaining and had some really good acting, but i couldn't get over some points where the movies just tried too hard with creating a perfect scene, each in succession. overuse of music especially, and the lacking cohesion between previous scenes, their music, and the current scene (and its music). a little bit too tryhard, but still a damn sweet movie.

    no comment on hobbit.

oh, i also got to watch seven psychopaths, which i hugely recommend to errbody. especially if you like in bruges. loved everything about the ending.
