Wtf? lol It's on par with Pulp Fiction imo. I walked in with no expectations, and walked out with the feeling I just watched one of the most memorable movies ever.

I dunno man. It wasn't bad at all but I just didn't get into it or something. Basterds was a lot better imho...

WTF was that? Looks like all the money went to the actors; so they grabbed the old GJ JOE script and a few department store looking CG film artists and made a movie.

This actually reminded me more of the second half of The Rock.

Really enjoyed The Life Aquatic. Love how it depicts something that is becoming something that was, the main character realising that his best days are behind him — but things are still pretty good. Also it has a cast to die for who really breathe life into splendidly-written characters. Honestly this is one of the most fun films I've seen in ages and I don't think I've ever seen Bill Murray as good as this. It's like he was born for this role.

Highly recommended if you enjoy comedic films that're a little black/dark. If you've ever seen any of Wes Anderson's other films you know exactly what I mean, although the Coen Brothers often hit a similar tone in things like Fargo, The Big Lebowski, and Burn After Reading (also great films). We're talking tragic and upsetting death scenes followed up by comedy that makes you laugh literally seconds later.

I highly recommend Wes Anderson's entire filmography, in fact. I've not watched his latest Moonrise Kingdom yet which is meant to be excellent, but The Darjeeling Limited and The Royal Tenenbaums are some of my favourite films of all time. Anyone who enjoys photography/filming should check them out purely for what I consider some of the best use of colour/composition in cinema.

    Lincoln.

I didn't like it. I remembered that I hate politics and old men talking and talking and talking. I slept. Not my type of movie. But I tried ._.

Life Aquatic owns. Great music and one of the greatest scenes in the history of movies:

We just saw Wreck it Ralph. For me, it's the best animation movie since Finding Nemo. You can tell it's made with a lot of love. Brings back tons of childhood memories. I smiled and laughed all the way though. I highly recommand this one.

    Total Recall (2012)

Action movie with sci-fi elements? Can't say i dislike it, but seems they aimed for the minimum necessary to satisfy a checklist. The most intersting thing is the art/design, except for the cars which I totally dislike; also they really went overboard with the screen-time for car and elevator chase.

The runaway scene on the rooftops, when they use the camera from the side, made me think to the Scarecrow section in Batman AA.

Skyfall, other than the photography the movie was very dull imo... What a shame :/ The guy that played Silva did a superb job though, very impressive acting but somehow the movie in itself lacked substance.

haha, that's a good point. the characters are really hatable. Spacey's character comes around, but honestly I'm really liking the show. It's like west wing but way sexier and way more cynical

edit: I'm 5 episodes in, this show is the real deal. it's great
