The Walking Dead Season 3 started. Watched the first episode today. It had more action then entire second season. Definitely a good start.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with slower pacing or dialog. But season 2 only survived due to it's great finales otherwise it would have simply become The Talking Dead.

Yeah the first episode was a great introduction into season 3. Interested to see what they do this season!

Also watching Homeland, Revolution, Boardwalk Empire and South Park

Been watching dat Homeland and dat Dexter. Dexter seems to be back on track after two dismal seasons so I'm pretty pumped to see how things turn out!

Really, how's Revolution? Saw a trailer for it and it looked a bit wonky.

My recording of Walking Dead episode 1 clashed with something else and I missed some of the beginning, does it start with

    Quote

a massive close up of a zombie's head

or is there more before that? Because I've got the rest of it...

I watched From Dusk Till Dawn last night, still absolutely brilliant.

This fucking movie really made me feel sick in the end, fuck me, at least it's different than anything else out there. Worth watching if you're in the mood.

Great performance by Christian Bale man, amazing the amount of weight he lost to record this movie, that's a fucking actor man.

It starts like that and then slowly zooms out. You haven't missed anything.

Oh and respect to Bale. Great actor. Ever since Empire of the Sun.

I have to agree, walking dead season 3 is by far the best season so far since the the first 2 episodes of season 1.

Looper. among my top 5 favorite films now

    The scene

where older-Dano (protagonist's looper friend) is fleeing and they're gradually removing his fingers, limbs etc. is going to be one of the most memorable scenes I've ever seen. incredibly intense and unsettling to watch

Yeah that scene was very well done. Looked horrifying! Though some parts in the film kind of didn't make sense.

    Quote

Like throughout the film they kept showing Bruce Willis remember his young self do/think things just after he has done them. Surely when his younger self had realised how that kid saw his mom die and how it would send him down the bad path he would have realised too and not shot the kid/his mom?

I dunno, I guess his younger self shooting himself in the chest didn't really give him chance to react. Was a great scene though

Still watching the same TV series, Walking Dead has to be my favourite at the moment though

Yeah the new series of Walking Dead is amazing, really enjoying it. Last season may have well just been renamed to 'WHATS GOING ON AT THE FARM'.

One thing that annoys me about this show is when Rick is shooting stuff. He does this ridiculous arm flail when he fires his pistol to give a sense of recoil. Just looks weird

Haha. The film sure does have a lot of plotholes but I like how they acknowledged that the logic of the film isn't all that important in the diner scene. Awesome film though, aside from Joseph Gordon-Levitt's distracting eyebrows.
