I saw a part of that a long time ago. Couldn't finish it. Indeed, WTF Japan?
What have you watched recently?

Watching the tv shows Community and Californication.
Californication is an amazing show, yet no one ever seems to watch/talk about it, it flies a bit under the radar maybe. Either way everyone should check it out

I just saw The Amazing Spiderman. Didn't expect a lot from it but I actually liked this one more then the original. Of course not flawless, but I had a lot of fun.
That is good to hear, I really wanted this one to be good
I guess I'll have to go see it soon. -
Watched The Raid (also known as "The Raid: Redemption") last night, was pretty cool.

been watching a lot of series/movies the past week(s):
* Rewatched season 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 of Curb Your Enthusiasm.
* Started rewatching Breaking Bad to prepare for season 5.
* The pilot of Person of Interest. Apparently it's created by Jonathan Nolan (writer on Dark Knight). seems ...decent at best
* The Great Happiness Space. Documentary about people (mostly prostitutes) who spends money in japanese host clubs. Some of the guests spend up to $5000 - $10 000 per night buying champagne, time with the hosts etc.
* Kill Bill. amazing. vol 2 next.
* True blood, first episode of season 5(?). it's still shit. in fact it's worse.

I've been watching Anime! AHAHAHAHAHAhaa... ha... haaaaaaa.......
There are a handful of new shows starting up now that others are ending. le mew. I watch most of my anime here: http://%7boption%7d if anyone is looking for a good site for new shows/ episodes of ongoing series. This one has a nice setup showing all the ongoing series on the left and the newest episodes in the middle, as well as having a large library of other anime that has already finished.

Wow. Aliens 3 was bad...

I watched a few episodes of Community, but dropped it as soon as I saw Modern Family for the first time. Mucho recommendo!

Found myself two new series to watch. First, The Newsroom, I'm liking it! Second, Generation Kill, slow pacing but I'm still interested.
-
Let us know how Generation Kill goes. I only had the attention span for about 2 episodes.

The story and alien design blew, but the sets were amazing.
I wasn't convinced.
A lot of the time the facility felt like a very earth-based location transplanted to the ass-end of space. Didn't give me much of a sci-fi vibe.Interior of the nostromo was the same as well. Looked like a smelting plant or refinery plant, which is what it was hah.

I just finished it. It's slow paced for sure. Not a lot of action but what it does, is giving you insight about how modern warfare is fought. Of course, I've never been in the army but this looked authentic to me. It made the situation in Iraq more clear to me. Perhaps a bit weird, but I finally got answers to question like how do you go to the 'bathroom' in wartime? How do you live? Eat? Etc.
I'm glad I saw it but it won't be for everyone. It's more a documentary.

I watched The Amazing Spiderman last night. I don't think it was as good as the first Spiderman movie with Maguire. It’s innocent enough, with some decent action scenes held together with scenes of varying cheese, but I can’t say I’m excited for the two inevitable sequels.
Minor spoilers (not enough to use the tag): My main gripe is that Peter Parker is way too cool in this. From wikipedia "Spider-Man has a terrible identity problem, a marked inferiority complex, and a fear of women. He is anti-social, [sic] castration-ridden, racked with Oedipal guilt, and accident-prone ... [a] functioning neurotic." He was meant to be a downtrodden nerdy kid that losers like me could relate to. In this he is not a target of bullying, though he does get himself thumped trying to intervene, and he spends most of his time skateboarding around dispensing one-liners and making girls wet even before he confidently breaks into a laboratory (wowing a scientists and wooing his crush) to get bitten by a spider. Da fuck.

Thanks for the info.... I've got a 12 hour layover in Incheon airport coming up, yay, I may have just figured out how to kill it.

No problem. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did
