I've been watching Burn Notice, which is totally fucking awesome even if every episode has the same plot.
What have you watched recently?

Breaking Bad season 1.
It's great.

Saw Jurassic Park again for the first time in ages. Pretty incredible that it's nearly 20 years old now, looks as good as most big movies released today. Plus its still a good dumb fun movie~

YES! I watched it again a few weeks ago and I thought the same thing. The special effects still put most contemporary movies to shame.

Well the majority is animatronics, so it would look better
Although some of the CG scenes are still golden, such a great movie ... -

Although some of the CG scenes are still golden, such a great movie ...Oh definitely, but its the restraint and knowing your limits that creates effects such as these where it all blends and you're not actively thinking about it most of the time (Well, I was, but that's beside the point
). To me the LOTR movies still stand as having some of the best effects in movies because they did whatever was required to make it look the best, be it miniatures or CGI. Most movies today are just smothered in CGI and it just feels flimsy and weak as a result. -
yeah, I've been watching a lot of the classic movies in the last year, from Rocky to Terminator, and watching Jurassic Park was definitely the one that wowed me the most, amazing how well it still stands out, one of the best movies ever.
(Although classifying Jurassic park as a "classic" is a bit weird, it feels like yesterday that I watched it, but it's got almost 20 years, god damn man.)

I watched battle los angels last night. Was alright actually. Typical America tis of thee shite, but not as bad as I thought it was going to be.
-
what?!?! heresy!
it was unbelievably shitty
-
I agree... I found the movie to be your typical 2000 decade sci-fi flick, reminded me of Skyline, meeeh!
-
What? I went into it with -1 expectations.

Looked like a mix of BHD and District 9, which could be pretty cool, but everyone I know that's seen it has said to steer clear from it :G

This weekend, i watched The Rite. Me, my father, mother and ghirlfriend....
Anthony Hopkins acts very very well! so good... Appears to be based on a real facts, but... i want to know where the fiction starts, cause the story is intriguing....
anyone saw it already?

XXX
I went in with 0 expectations, but it actually turned out alright.. I'd probably give it 6/10. Though Ultra-nationalist Russians in Prague is wildly confusing...

First action movie I've fallen asleep in a theater to. The shaky cams and dust were just too much. Had such a hard time following what was happening in most of the fighting scenes as a result.

True, I agree with all that but I still didn't find it too terrible. I guess I'm easily pleased with most films.

just finished watching the mummy 3, was actually quite good in that cheesy over the top way, setting is kinda like uncharted 2

last harry poter film was awesome, really really good and epic :embarrassed:
