    Thanks guys!

This wasnt supposed to get out just yet, but im really pleased with how positive the reaction to going indie with it has been so far. The big official announcement is coming soon with more info on what the indie version will bring. Will keep this thread updated with future news!

Cool beans, I've been looking forward to this. I've also been resisting the urge to try the original which I somehow missed out on, should I continue to wait for the remake which I'm sure I'll be playing either way?

Nice one Robert, I can only imagine the satisfaction you get for working on something ambitious in your spare time and having it become something that millions all over the world will have access too. I just read the excellent article in PCGAMER UK about this, I agree with yours and Dan's vision, that this and other projects alike will change the way people look at games as a whole gradually.

I think it's appalling how some of the kids on Moddb are acting about it.. "omgz u haev betrayed da community!!111", perhaps you could have announced it sooner or perhaps not but it's your project so it's upto you how it goes and you don't owe any of those ungrateful shits anything! The only downside to it being sold on Steam is that you need a credit card to buy anything and I only have a Debit card... unless that's changed now?

Thanks D3ads, yeah some of the comments over at Moddb are hideous, although most of the negative comments seem to be instigated by just a handful people who, judging by the logic of their arguments, seem to be just trolling. I think most of the people supporting us understand that going indie give us an opportunity to reach a wider audience and have enough funding to allow us to do more cool stuff in the future. The news leaked early so we werent really prepared for this to come out when it did. Although we've been talking to Valve for around 6 months now, we literally didnt know we were going to get a deal until just over a month ago, so I just didnt want to jump the gun.

I use my debit card all the time on steam mate, you got Visa? You can also use paypal now in some countries i think.

I expect that my comment on there was a waste of time and will probably get downvoted, not that I care about karma since it's almost entirely pointless.

Yeah I've got Visa debit, if that works then that's great. I remember one time it was only credit cards that worked but that's probably a long time ago now so I'll shutup about it before people start posting "old" comments
