http://www.gametrailers.com/video/revie ... 6?type=flv (Contains a large spoiler for those who haven't played 2... like me GT are getting ridiculous for spoilers lately)

The game is out now apparently, I've not played any of the Killzone games.. I'm hoping they do a HD re-release of Killzone 1 so I can play them in full along with this and the second one.

Oh my god. The MP beta is fucking awesome. Controls so well for an FPS on console. The graphics and audio are amazing as well! Need to play the 2nd one now =P.

I hope the singleplayer campaign is more than a mere 6 hours long this time. I felt ripped off by the time I finished KZ2 with how short it was.

relevant to current events: This just got leaked.

    http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011- ... ked-online

Off topic of the actual leak itself, it seems really weird to me that a "non-3d" copy of the game can shed half the game's size, over 20GB. I can only imagine it's a shitload of prerendered 3d video or something.

I'm shocked and appalled , I never thought there was any piracy on consoles.

Are you sure you live on planet Earth?

The only console so far that managed to stay away from piracy for a while was the PS3 but those days are gone.

Is it me or does it seem hard to see enemies and even vehicles to shoot at in the game? I mean, it all looks the same color, and the environments are indeed very nice and detailed, but all that detail makes it even harder to spot what's going on? On top of that they add all kinds of moving effects in your view to make it look even more cool, but that to me just makes it even harder to spot enemies. It's not just this game, many games of late seem to be maxing out of details making it harder to get a sense of whats going on in the world and spotting enemies. Bulletstorm (or any Epic game) is also like that imHo. I haven't played any of these games though, I'm just judging form the videos I've seen. To me it just raises the question that adding too much detail in environments isn't always a good thing.

In Killzone 2 it was pretty easy to pick out enemies due to their glowing red eyes. Though they would sometimes throw in a few environmental red lights close enough to ground level to fool you a few times, which was pretty irritating.

Never had any issues picking out enemies in Epic games aside from UT3.

The video I saw of the hackers breaking down PS3 security details, including smug "trophy unlocks" as part of their powerpoint presentation on how terrible PS3 security really was was some great stuff. It really drove home the point that the only reason the platform hadn't been broken was because nobody bothered to try, because Other OS support was already there. I think that makes a pretty reasonable stand against all the wink wink nudge nudge "homebrewers are really just pirates" talk. Personally, I've got my Wii homebrewed so it can play DVDs. It's just stupid that the feature isn't included when that's standard on everything else (well, everything good that is) for the last two generations.

Well, Other OS was there so homebrew didn't need to hack through the PS3 security. And, regardless of the hackers initial intentions, once it's open there's no question it's mainly used for piracy.

However, as far as I know anyone who got the Other OS removing update or a PS3 Slim (that never had Other OS anyway) can't really do much. And Microsoft likes to track hacks, pretend they don't know about them, then do a massive ban for the press. It's certainly harder than the PSX/PS2 eras where everyone had a dodgy uncle that could chip it and give you a million games. To play imports on my 360 I... brought a foreign 360.

Other than the terrible sniper part, pretty good so far. Some of the new locations, action sequences remind me of Shadow of the empire(star wars)

MP is good so far. Forgot how fucking awesome Warzone is. All about objectives. Not even giving a shit about my K:D at all. Also mechs stomping around in mutli is pretty terrifying.

Was ok other than not knowing who's left Rico or whoever was referencing. Why this game wasn't playing as the Helghast though is beyond me. Most interesting aspect of the universe reserved for just cutscenes and being stabbed in the eye.
