So, Origin is a heap of shit.

Started downloading last night, got to 50%, left pc on overnight, came back to nothing downloaded. Started again, got to 50%, turned pc off and went to work. Came back, downloaded for 2 hours more and it gets to 100%. There it stays for an hour, until it gets to 4.7GB/3.9GB downloaded. Then it goes back to 80%, then after half an hour 60%, then after half an hour it drops down to 40%. It's now saying 44% downloaded, 1.8GB downloaded despite the fact my origin BF3 folder is 4.7GB now.

With all of Steam's issues, at least it downloads and tells me an appropriate amount of time remaining. Origin says 0 mins to go.

I can estimate that origin and the login browser to play thing will gimp bf3 for a while. I also heard that server rental for bf3 is around £140 a month. Like I said I *heard*.

the battlelog friends, and party features are great, the voice chat even works okay
