I've been reading comments about this battlelog system and I think this might work quite well, they say it takes 30 secs from battlelog to ingame so it's definitely not bad.

Similar to how Battlefield Heroes and Battlefield4Free works. Not entirelly surprised, and is was like that in the BF3 alpha as well. If I can get into the game reasonably fast then fine.

Heh, makes me think of the old CS days where the ingame server browser was complete shite and best option was to use stuff like Gamespy.

Haha, yeah. To be honest Battlefield's in-game browsers have always been a bit shit and if I'd had the option to use something like Steam or All-Seeing Eye I probably would have.

With that said this new system does seem a bit weird. Making a robust web-based server browser is cool, but to not include any kind of server browser in the game itself? I'll be very surprised if they don't at the very least just stick a web browser in the game that simply shows the web-based server browser. They already use such in-game web browsers for things like MOTDs so I can't imagine it'd be much of a stretch.

That just sounds stupidly silly. DICE have never been good at server browsers, mind. Give it time, they will probably put a server browser in from all the raging.

So why can't the "battlelog" be ingame?

Because that would require time and effort.

Yes, this is what I see in every aspect of this game so far. It will be the title of shame it must carry for all time. If DICE can't recover from this blunder I'm not sure what hope there is for them down the road. They had a good thing going up until the announcement of Battle Log... But they just had to put stats and a server browser outside of the .exe. What a travesty. Please commit the Swedish version of sepuku.
