EA's plans for Origin are so laughable. Pretty much "slowly clone every feature of Steam over the next two years". Except Steam has all those features now, and a 20 million strong userbase, and strong customer dedication. Good luck replicating those...

if you don't want other games to start doing this, stop enabling them by buying it on other distribution systems. the only way publishers like EA will understand is through sales numbers from a specific distributor (no offense rick, ill be buying the game, but i'm not going to install origin or some other shit to play it).
hey i'm not the only dicer here and it doesn't bother me that people dislike origin either. but i think we can compare this with facebook and google+, and we know how that's turning out.

That's always the case when you're looking at things, same with looking at Burnout for instance.
But when you play it, it feels much faster.
Did any of you watch the gamescom live conference? They showed off Coop
(Which is what I've been helping with) They're supposed to post it on youtube as well, I'll link later. -
btw was that coop, ps3 to ps3 or some form of split screen. Im assume the former.

GT got one up (EDIT: HP posted it), in SD tho. Looks cool, though it doesn't demo quite as well as you usual heavily scripted SP level
Love the way the shotgun sounds....well, actually I love how the entire sound design is...and the game.Regarding the planes, then they were kinda slow in BF2 as well, but I always felt it was at a fairly good spot between being too fast effectively use and fast enough to have some heated dogfights. It does work better with WW2 era planes tho

http://planetbattlefield.gamespy.com/fu ... ?id=165281 - Full list of weapons, attachments, equipment, etc. You have a monstrous task ahead of you if you want to unlock everything, as every attachment unlock is for each individual weapon, not so you can aquire ACOG on one weapon and then use it everywhere else (like in Bad Company 2).
Also, overview map of "Caspian Border", shown in the latest video : http://h4.abload.de/img/10245_14eptb.jpg

Jeez, they aren't kidding, that's a crazy number of guns, even without upgrades. Can't be easy to balance this game

-
Well, there's probably going one or two weapons that are "the best" per weapon class and then you play with the others for variation... like in BC2.
That's perfectly fine

Yeah, but even then you got loads of vehicles, equipment and level layouts to keep in mind. Not that it necessarily has to be absolutely balanced in that way, great teamwork can overcome most things in the BF games.
