I just find it an exceedingly lazy way of marketing. I support Battlefield and liked the group ages ago, but it's becoming a very common practice for PR departments to use really cheap incentives to get people to spam all their friends with requests. The worst case I've seen is the new upcoming Tribes game, where they've literally done it like half a dozen times thus far for things like a new piece of concept art.

Only a 3 day gap between this and them releasing it anyway. What's the point. If it was 3 weeks I'd get it a bit more.

multiplayer is probably going to be awesome. the audio design in bc2 created a very different, more immersive multiplayer experience for me. wish they could release it as multiplayer only, it's tragic how much time and talent is invested into creating singleplayer campaigns.

I find it tragic how much time and talent is invested into repetitive online multiplayer modes that could be spent making the single player campaign better.

if better actually meant better, I would agree. however, it's not going to get any better until they drastically change the way they're making these games (which they won't). the failures of fps cod/bf singleplayer campaigns have already been described here, so I won't add more to it. my point is just that this kind of set piece-driven design is a broken vehicle to work with, it's not going to take you anywhere no matter how hard you work with it. that's why it's such a shame to see competent developers waste their time on it.

Holy shit, the new snippets at the end of the trailer look fantastic. I mean I knew the new Battlefield game could contain that kind of stuff, but shieeeeeeeet.

I will admit, Bulletstorm set a bar so high on the over-the-top set-piece style campaigns that I'm doubtful it can be topped.

2 different games man, nothing to compare here. And of course a realstiic game cannot compete with science fiction/fantasy in terms of set pieces, as that stuff does not exsist in reality.

I liked it very much, but then again, there wasn't much new in it (apart from what seems to confirm the vehicle gameplay with tanks and jets). I also missed shadows from the player's flashlight and a firstperson shadow, obviously nitpicking, but with all the great lighting in place i was expecting to see stuff like that embeded as well.

YO DAWG I HERD YOU LIKE POSTING SAME TRAILER TWICE IN ONE THREAD SO YOU DID JUST THAT.

The trailer btw is not that ground breaking, same as the first release with more shooting parts. Prepare for this to get dumbed down for the release version.
