If you already have 20 friends though, that's the max limit you can have hah. Can't add anymore than that.

Battlefield 3 is being developed with a distinct PC focus, according to the GameInformer cover story (via Joystiq). Executive producer Patrick Bach says the team is "focusing on PC first, and then we fiddle with it to fit it onto consoles."The game will support dedicated servers, and is sticking with four selectable classes (referred to as "the sweet spot"). Forming up into squads is also getting tweaked, but Bach is holding those details close to the vest for the time being.

Some fans might be disappointed to learn that mod tools are taking a back seat to polishing the main game for the time being. "We will not deliver mod tools in the way we delivered them for Battlefield 2," said Bach. "Creating mod tools today -- dumbing them down -- takes a lot of energy and what we are discussing more every day is, 'Where do we put our focus?'"

He continued, "Right now our focus is to create the best possible multiplayer, single-player, and co-op game -- the core game of Battlefield 3. We're still discussing how we handle modifications of any kind."

I just hope by, ""Right now our focus is to create the best possible multiplayer, single-player, and co-op game" the core game is multiplayer and the polish goes there Single Player sucks in battlefield. The multiplayer is where the real gameplay and intensity is. But whatever.

Single player so far has sucked. Fingers crossed that they can change this and make singleplayer Battlefield worth playing!

Yeah, I'm happy they will include coop. This could be lots of fun.

Single player has no place in a battlefield game for me. It's all about the mp action, yo!

Totally agree but there's no harm in including a singleplayer anyway for those people out there that would enjoy it.

I can still see me racking up days worth of hours in MP though :bananawrench:

I'll let it slide if it's actually good, you know unlike all their previous efforts at SP!

BF2 single player was a joke. I'd rather than just canned the SP and concentrated on the MP exclusively

    That's just me, though...

They had a single player mode with bots. There was no campaign, but still.

Just stick to the mp, Dice. No one buys a battlefield game to play by them selves.

It does look really good. I should play more BC2. I decently liked the multiplayer, though high level players with snipers killing me from across the map got old, I think I only reached like level 4 or 5. Single player was annoyingly unfocused. You'd arrive in an area and then just kinda move off randomly, following the level path, without feeling like there's much purpose to it. No carrot on the end of the stick, basically.

I remember reading something, somewhere, that they used ike 60 computers to compile the lighting in bc2.
