Quote from Nz-Nexusjust finished this game. it was a really great game, not as good as half life but i believe the graphics was amazing for its time (2000.
Yeah, SoF was great, I still have good memories... the localised damage was a blast (and was never replicated
)
Quote from SpronyvanJohnsonSo I finished Far Cry 3. [...] memorable characters, great music [...] after 31 hours of play, I'm still sad it ended.
I've installed it thursday on my Xbox and racked up 16hrs in 4 sessions of play... and I've only just completed the first CIA agent mission. (I'm assuming there's still a long way to go.)
I agree with all the things you wrote, except I had to turn off the music because for the first time in my life I see a game that has not separate volumes for music and effects [Blocked Image: http://multiplayer.it/forum/images/faccine/face4.gif]
At the point I am right now in the story, can't say much about characters, I think Vaas had(?) the potential to be "character of the year" but a sandbox gameplay hurts narration and the performance gets lost.
Oh, and the notification pop-ups have driven me crazy for too many hours, really too intrusive, everything you do/find pops up something. Annoying to say the least.

You can say that again! What a gem of a game.
Quote from SkackyIs it good, dux?
Right now I'm playing Kingpin, there is a campaign called Night Work at the Factory that was released a couple of months ago but I only saw that today, and I forgot how thick Kingpin's atmosphere is.
I just googled, that looks very impressive! I'll have to reinstall Kingpin and try it out sometime...
Just bought Dishonored.

It certainly isn't flawless. Especially the intrusive part. I turned my sound of on multiple occasions because the same guy from the same mission with the same story kept calling every fucking time I did something else in between. Drove me nuts.

The guy you rescue in the minefield? Because I just did that after lunch: "I'm over here. I'm over here. I'm over here" ![]()

Yeah it's pretty awesome. I'm probably more than halfway through, and so far it's very impressive visually and the maps are all well made. There are a couple of strange design decisions and some downright weird 'puzzles', but I'm loving it for the moment. It's also quite hard with lots of thugs thrown at you sometimes, even if the item balance is quite good.
i played kingpin on 200X... i was very cool at time! love the architecture, and weapons. I think is a little hard on beginning, but nice when you are able to buy weapons and mods. That shop reminds me killing floor merchant ![]()

No, it happens on multiple occasions. Sometimes you've finished a mission and then you get a call regarding the next one. But if you do other things next, like wanted or hunter missions, everytime you complete that, the original call gets repeated. So annoying.
Oh yeah, i noticed that too. Well, I noticed he calls you when you die and when you are just starting a new game session, so actually i thought it was quite good because reminds the player what he has to do next... yes, it's a bit invasive but i'm quite good at ignoring him
but talking design, i wouldn't declare it a failure, the system could benefit some refinements (eg.: he doesn't calls if he has done that already in a certain time-span).
Really enjoying Dishonored so far. Only got to taking out the Overseer dude (first proper mission) but the game has a great feel about it.
It's interesting how many other games this one evokes when I play it. As I proceed I keep getting flashes of Half-Life 2, Deus Ex, Fable, and BioShock. But it does it all so well I don't care where the inspiration came from. ![]()
My only problem so far is that if I ever end up in a combat situation I get seriously assholed. I just can't seem to deal with more than a couple of dudes without burning through my entire stock of health. I guess this is to encourage stealth though, and I imagine I'll become more powerful with more runes.
Been playing a lot of Mortal Kombat 9 lately. I'm surprised how good it is as a fighter. I got interested in it when I first saw the EVO finals for it. Also interesting that it was made in the unreal engine.
Must make sure you're player 1!
?? Why?
I'm playing it on the Vita btw.
Man I REALLY hope they bring KOFXIII to the Vita. It's perfect for fighters with 4 buttons.
Heh, the game doesn't evaluate players separately so in a situation like a trade player 1 will win. It’s not actually a massive deal in practice and they have fixed it for Injustice. ![]()
Really? I never realized that. I've only been playing the computer so it hasn't come up.
Seems like it would be quite a big deal.
So it was fixed with the update?
Not AFAIK, Injustice is their next game.
Hahahahah I thought you meant the injustice of the first player having priority ![]()

I'm with you on that. I also love the art style. Stealth is by far the way to go and indeed, once you have runes you become a ninja. It's not often I play a game in which I really go for the stealth approach. Besides, I don't kill a lot of people. That's a first. Only those who deserve it. I also like the multiple options you have in dealing with a situation. Nice game so far. I think I'm half way through.
