I don't know, just all those options you have; you can stand there and talk 10 minutes without actually getting anywhere. My guess is I just need to play a bit more to further understand the purpose of the conversations.

It's true that there is more mandatory conversation in the beginning while you're still in the early/tutorial phase of the game. Later on you can roam around and do your own thing, but there's still the minimum amount of conversation required to initiate and finish quests. Brilliant game IMO.

You know you can skip through most, if not all, the dialogue. Should be space, or whatever you've got mapped to jump.

game is hardly brilliant, most of the dialogue has nothing on the original fallout games, plus the dead-eye stare from the NPCs is always like a thrill ride into the uncanny valley. it's a good game, but not one you can really play multiple times. or at least i haven't touched it since i played it through the first time. new vegas was better, it had a lot of more familiar elements and some of the characters there were actually pretty cool (it also took elements from van buren, which was a nice addition).

After 9 months and 105 hours, I've finally finished Skyrim. Great game, worthless ending.

The entire building here had no internet connection for 3 whole days last weekend, so I decided to finish some of my games on my backlog:

Cave Story - Neat platformer, never played it before, only finished it once and got the standard ending. After looking online finally, I discover there is lots of other things to find, and a true ending. Might be arsed some other day.

Saints Row 3 - Already knew what was going to happen, had the ending spoiled long ago, and the challenge went away once I got the maximum ammo upgrades. Infinite ammo? Yeah.

RAGE - Ok, the game looks nice, models looks sharp and all , but the ending was just ... what? That's it?

    Worse than the Rage ending?

switching between thief gold and the newest prince of persia at the moment. impressed with both of them, perhaps moreso the latter as everything feels really solid, from the controls to the fighting to the art style. completed bastion and torchlight 2, neither really being super entertaining.

Super late to the party, but I finally got around to play Batman: Arkham Asylum. And oh my fucking god is this game a perfectly crafted experience!

I'm having so much fun, from the great art, great design, finding all the secrets, unlocking gadgets, etc.

I love me a good single player experience like this, a well crafted SP game like this beats any counter strike, or call of duty MP match, this for me is pure entertainment and fun! Wish half the games out there were this good.

A good 10/10, been a long while since I played something this good, and hooked myself into a game like this, I've been literally going to bed at 2am every day, lmao.

Also played Max Payne 3 before this, it pales in comparison tho, although it is a good game, the plot is a bit so so, the mechanics are weak, and the level design is too linear. Although I did finish it (like I finish every single SP game I decide to start) and really enjoyed it.

I'll give it a 7/10, mainly because rockstar understood at least partially what the max payne universe is all about, but failed to deliver in many aspects.

It's a good fan service game as well, you'll find levels that will remind you of the previous games, your new jersey apartment, the night clubs, etc, but the level design is just NOT the same as previous games, it's almost a onrails game and I really don't appreciate that. Also, by the end of the game, you feel you killed 4000/5000 guys, and Im not even exaggerating, it's just too much. Max deserved better in all aspects, at least the art was good to look at, specially the panama level and the favela.

Been on a bizarro Indie kick lately while waiting for XCOM to release.

FTL - what a terrific game that proves all you need in a game is a network of well-designed systems. More AAA studios should put this kind of work into establishing a solid framework of gameplay and layer on the eye-fucking graphics/set pieces and shitty B-movie storylines instead of making them the main focus in the development process.

Binding of Isaac - love the concept, but the controls frustrate the shit out of me

Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery - fun little adventure game, but there's way too much pointless backtracking. The fights with the Trigons seem to be the high point of the game so far, even if they are overly drawn out.

Lone Survivor - 10x scarier than Dead Space 3 will be. You don't need immersive graphics, audio, and jump scares to pull off survivor horror. It can be pretty frustrating at times with the controls and ability to fuck yourself into a corner though.

Man I think I actually like Max Payne 3 the best of all. I'll have to reserve judgement until I replay the first 2.

Just finished Lone Survivor. Great game, one of the best stories in a long time. It's like a David Lynch story only without a hugely disappointing ending.

I'm almost done with Dawn of War 2: Retribution. You can play the SP campaign with six races. The Space Marines are my favorite, but this time I decided to give the other races a try first. I had a an absolute blast!

There are only 2 missions left for the Space Marines and then I've finished the game completely with all of the races. 50+ hours of gameplay for only 10 euro. Now that's value for your money.

just finished Batman Arkham Asylum. Great game with lots of cool moments (and next to Splinter Cell Conviction my second game exclusively played with the gamepad). But WHAT THE heck is up with Games for Windows Live? Took ages to load everytime I start the game. First time starting the game it took an extra half-an-hour to set it up (because it only realised after the game was loaded that it needed an update)... seriously, why do Developers still use that crap

I have also played recently that game. GFWL annoyed me as hell until... I made an offline account. From this moment I was free. No silly updates, no silly synchronizations, nothing at all. And I played the game with Steam Big Picture in my bed by the way, that was awesome !
