Been playing a bit of Frozen Synapse. It's pretty good fun, though also involving a fair share of luck a lot of the time. Here's a pretty amazing game (you had to be there, probably) where I'm playing against one of my buddies. I'm the green player.

Playing Coop Shogun 2: Total War right now... it's kickass!

It's actually a lot of fun to spectate your buddy's battles (you spectate if you do not have forces participating in the battle). You just swoop around the battlefield, choosing good camera angles to view the action with.

And the pleasure of building an empire is of course very present!

me, warby and zacker tried to play trine in 3 player coop. It was hilarious and frustrating at the same time. Hilarious because of the way the physics behaved at times, and the way the wizard (warby) kept fucking things up for us involuntarily, but also frustrating because of the way the physics behaved.

I'm trying to play L4D2 with a friend, but it's impossible. People either leave the lobby because it's not 7/8 or they ragequit 1-2min after having started.

Reminds me that I still haven't played with HP. Vacation and now staying late at the office :/

    Hmm, one of these days...

And yup, from what I remember there's a lot of leavers... Matchmaking isn't really that fair so that contributes to the ragequits I suppose.

been playing l4d2 on a daily basis for the last 2 weeks now, and it's a really good game (I played L4d1 a loooot) and they really perfected it, but indeed the community and the fucking rage quitters ruin the game.

You join a lobby, and before the game begins 10 or more people join and leave, just like that, why on earth would you do that is beyond my understand.

And the best part is during the game, I always finish a versus campaign that I start, and I am ALWAYS the last one of the originals to finish it, more than 20 people join and leave the game.

People play as infected, if the round didn't go that well, they rage quit... it annoys me to no end, so I try to play with friends and colleagues only now.

So by all means, if any of you are playing it recently add me and let's have some good fun away from rage quitters that ruin the game (helder_hp)

I'm always down for some L4D action. Toss me an invite if we're ever on at the same time.

    I'm playing Civilization 5.

I'm 100 score above this Aztec leader and he tries to pull this deal:

What the fuck? What's the point of having these people even be able to make decisions like this if the AI is going to be a fucking vegetable?

edit: ended up killing him and razing his cities. his new offers didn't get much better. i don't really see how you're supposed to use diplomacy for anything good.

i think it's trying to mimic the aztec customs or whatever, saying that aztecs would rather die than surrender

i chose random AI for the leaders, so I don't think that is the case. you could play against any of the other leaders and they will behave in the same way (irrational and illogical). by this i mean the diplomacy trading-part, i'm aware that they behave differently strategically (like your aztec example).

it's really sad, because diplomacy should be an important part of this game.

I found that the AI is just extremely offensive in Civ, and they never seem to offer anything.

Played through FEAR 3. It's the best shooter this year and no one will ever know.
