":18gtjfr2]Sneak and bow is really fun, but it's hard. Gets easier as you level up, but... hard.

You can find objects that multiply the damages you do with blades when sneaking, i have like *24 damages when sneaking right now add some paralysing poison on that and you can kill anything :x

    You mean enchantments? Or potions?

enchanted rings or pieces of armor, at least they have some good ones like that at the dark brotherhood

Either look for enchanted items on shops or learn to make your own. It really helps, unless you are like me and roleplay the character =P and don't want your guy to do any enchanting =P

I found an archery circlet on a dungeon and disenchanted it. I later crafted and archery helmet and archery gloves. The initial item was stronger then my weak enchantments (20% as opposed to my 12% items) but I'm getting better =P

Also, anytime you go crafting/enchanting a large quantity of items, make sure you sleep on your bet to get the 10% increase on your skill advancement, as well as checking if you have any potions that increase that stat.

Really ? didn't know sleep was affecting skill advancement

It does, especially if you are well rested. (Sleeping on your own bed, or if you pay for a room)

If your about the bows, it's worth joining the Dark Brotherhood for the gear early on.

It's been like this in TES forever... I haven't seen it in-game in any shape of a tutorial or comment, but if you go on your Magic screen, under Active effects or something similar, you'll find all active blessings and such.

Also remember that you can visit a god's shrine in a city to gain a passive buff for 8 hours and get rid of diseases. In Whiterun there is a shrine of Talos in the city center and a Shrine of the healing goddess in a temple.

Also look for the Ritual stones to get their blessings. It's like having a second racial power, usually very useful, but only once per day.

If you become a werewolf you get a "your beast blood kept you from a restful sleep" message and no bonus.

In the same place it tells you how to assign number keys to your favorites.

60 hours in and now i'm slowly losing interest in the game. The leveling isn't as bad as in Oblivion but again it serves as a big immersion and motivation breaker for me. Everything feels just pointless and devaluated by it in the end. What's the point of improving skills when the rest of the game improves with you? Another thing that bothers me is the lack of unique weapons and armor in the game. A game of this size and there are only a dozen completely unique items in it going by the wiki. The rest is enchanted standard stuff.

Also the balance of the game is a bit off. I started playing on adept difficulty which got too easy quickly and the game throws money and valuable loot at you on every corner. On master difficulty the combat is only a bit more difficulty and most loot is just trash and alms, which isn't fun either. After all the loot is an important motivational factor in rpg's.

Think i'm gonna finish the main quest line and the dark brotherhood over the weekend and then i'll wait for some mods before i play again.

I remember having my Holiday vacation, sitting snowed in and playing 100 hours of Oblivion over the course of a week according to Xfire (which I used at the time)... man those were the days

Right now I'm struggling to get into Skyrim. I'm found the intro to be extremely un-epic and all the writing and voice acting I've been exposed to so far has been pretty bad Also, I'm kind of in "battlefield"-mode...

I absolutely loved it in the beginning too. But yesterday i suddenly felt this "*meh*-click". I think it was because i already had 3 enchanted ebony swords and then got a 4th as a reward for finishing a major quest line. How lame is that? Something unique would have been nice. And imagine you spent hours improving your smithing and enchanting skills and then you find the same kind of stuff in crates everywhere and the shops have it in stock, which you can buy easily because its so damn easy to make money. So pointless.

And also in the beginning i was collecting money and felt motivated towards the 100k gold achievement but now there are mage robes worth 4000 lying around everywhere.

Another example, you clear a dungeon in the beginning and are proud because you did it and got some nice stuff out of it. Come back later and all the loot respawned but much better and you only have to run through it and collect without any challenge.

Fallout 3 for some reason motivated me beyond the 100 hour mark but i hated Fallout:NV. Only played 40 hours of it and already felt bored after like 10-15.

I have to agree. Everytime I play, there is still this small nack that bugs me, and keeps saying; 'where are all the good rewards'? I always feel like after raiding a cave, or doing a decent sized quest, there isnt anything that motivates me to want to do it again. This only started to occur on my main warrior character not to long ago. I think Im also going to finish the main quest and focus my theif on all of the sidequests, darkbrotherhood, theives guild, well at least finish it, and any other evil quests that come along. I think by then however the amount of hours I played & enjoyed was much more than any normal SP game will give.
