I'm sure I'll end up playing and enjoying it, but I seriously can't get excited for ME3 from what they've shown so far

Would much rather prefer that they just ditched the combat entirely and had Shepard talking his(her?) way through everything

I'll allow it if they add more stuff than looking for rocks.

At least the Mako gave a tiny bit of freedom, if they actually got serious about it and had planets that were worth exploring then it would be ossim, just what the series is lacking IMO. Then again, now Shepard is supposed to save Earth and all that crap, so maybe saving some colonist on some barren planet would feel a tad out of place

probably not, i would even think bioware had shit like that coming, but they do cut corners when they have to meet deadlines...

Wow, major spoilers in that trailer. Guess it's time to go back to ignoring the media releases.

And fighting against Cerberus after being allied with them throughout ME2.

Also, I hope those animations aren't final. They looked way better in the first two games.

woop, guess who won't be getting mass effect 3!

i'm also beginning to think that the reason why ea pulled their shit from steam was that valve wouldn't let them link into origin somehow. i'm still dumbfounded over the decision.

That decision to make more profit without giving a cut to valve?

well obviously it's about numbers, i'm just wondering how it pays off for them.

Great, another game that needs to be split across another distribution platform.

I wonder if this decision really pays off. I don't know how many people there are out there who will refuse to buy it on origin or how many who will refuse to buy anything that's not on Steam for that matter.

But people avoiding the product out of principle is not the only possible way in which you lose buyers. Having the game on Steam means more exposure which naturally means more sales, the question is of course just how many sales it will cost them. But add to that the popular Steam sales which can really help drive in revenue long after the release of the game and you have a situation where you could possibly make more money if the game was available on Steam (even though you earn less per copy).

Then again... Steam is very "restrictive" and doesn't allow you interact with customers the way you want.
