Did I ever tell you the definition of stealth?

it's kind of like a prisoner's dilemma: does the escaped prisoner fight the guards or sneak out of prison?

Uncharted 2 is by far my favorite single player action game on the PS3. I get the criticisms, and no, the game does not do every component of its gameplay (ie stealth, shooting, cover mechanics, platforming etc) the best. However the whole package of how each of them work together is amazing.

But it's the characters, story, voice acting and musical score that bring it all together for me. No, it ain't the most original story (in either U1 or U2 and they were basically the same plot...as with U3) but maybe that makes it even better because it finally does well what few games really ever have before even though we've seen the general story/character before in Indiana Jones. Come on people! [Blocked Image: https://migrationtest.mapcore.org/public/style_emoticons/default/mapcore_smilies/emot_shakehead.gif]

Meanwhile was at my local Best Buy (omg...almost within walking distance of my house!) checking out the BF3 activity...lots of dudes were buying in the middle of the day. Good sign for BF3.

On topic...at said Best Buy there was a single player demo of Uncharted 3. Quick iPhone picture below...and this wasn't simply a trailer there was a guy playing the level in the burning building with flames of fire...that were burning. It's like it was on fire. I should go back and get more photos.

Yes. I've been trying to bury my head in sand on this so as not to spoil anything further. Was there a SP demo released? I'm not even going to google it.

The main villain, Katherine Marlowe, is, hands down, the best in the series. (Her terrifying, mysterious cohort, Talbot, is not too shabby, either.) There is a conversation about halfway through the game between Nathan and Katherine that is easily the best written (and acted!) dialogue in all three Uncharted games.Fortunately, the game is full of moments like this: sharply written, superbly acted sequences that really expose each character and take the series to a whole new emotional level.

But as great as the story and characters are in the game, let's be honest, the main focus of the Uncharted games is the action. With Uncharted 2, the bar was set ridiculously high for what can be done in a videogame. When I was going into Uncharted 3, my main concern was whether the game could raise the bar even higher.

I can't believe I am typing this, but Uncharted 3 manages the impossible. It is an even bigger thrill ride than both the previous games combined.

    Roll on Wednesday

The only reason I got out of bed this morning.
